Infinite Arrows is an Abyss Gear effect socketed into a bow, not a separate ammunition item. The reported route is to farm equipment that already carries Abyss Gear, extract that gear at a witch, use the witch’s special synthesis until Infinite Arrows II or III appears, and then install the result in open bow sockets. A Playnews guide names the Altar of the Ice Watcher as a farming location, but neither a particular drop nor a fixed number of synthesis attempts is guaranteed.

The safest way to approach the process is as a loop rather than a one-time quest: collect gear-bearing equipment, extract it, inspect the synthesis preview, and only then commit materials and sockets. Keep the live tooltip in front of you because the route, percentages, ammunition coverage, recipes, and durability behavior can change between builds.

What Infinite Arrows does

Infinite Arrows gives a chance for a fired arrow not to be consumed. The Crimson Desert Gaming Tools database lists it as socketed Abyss Gear whose compatible equipment type is bows. You therefore do not equip Infinite Arrows from an ammunition menu and you do not craft a standalone quiver; you place the gear effect in a bow’s Abyss Gear socket.

The effect matters most during long hunts, boss attempts, and exploration away from merchants. A successful save reduces how often you need to restock arrows, while a failed synthesis or a bow without a free socket leaves the effect unusable until you correct that step. It is also useful to distinguish ammunition conservation from damage: Infinite Arrows changes the chance of consuming ammunition, not the bow’s listed attack power.

Guides describe two relevant tiers. Playnews reports a 40% arrow-recovery chance for Infinite Arrows II and 60% for Infinite Arrows III. Those percentages are guide-reported game values, not laboratory measurements, and the in-game description may change with a patch. The same guide says combining the two tiers produces 100% recovery; treat that as a guide instruction and verify the resulting text in your current build before committing valuable sockets.

Because the effect is chance-based at the individual-tier level, a 40% or 60% tooltip should not be read as a promise that every short test will show the same pattern. Test enough shots to confirm that the effect is installed, but do not use a handful of outcomes to infer a new percentage or a hidden guarantee.

Requirements before you start

  • A bow with an available Abyss Gear socket, or enough access to a witch to create one.
  • Weapons or shields that carry Abyss Gear and can be taken to a witch for extraction.
  • Access to a witch’s extraction and special-synthesis services. Elowen is one example named by the guides, but the available witch and menu can depend on your progression.
  • Enough spare equipment to absorb unsuccessful synthesis results. Infinite Arrows is described as unavailable through ordinary learned recipes, so normal crafting materials alone are not a substitute.
  • A current check of the gear description and witch menu. Patch behavior and recipes can change, and the directions below reflect guides available through October 13, 2026.

There is no verified universal gold price, material bill, or attempt count for this process. Plan inventory space and spare drop-bearing equipment instead of setting aside a supposedly exact cost. If the witch displays a fee or ingredient requirement in your build, use that live value; do not rely on an older guide’s assumptions.

Before farming, decide whether you are aiming for one tier or the reported II-plus-III setup. That choice determines how many sockets you need and how many extracted pieces you should retain. Mark or lock candidate weapons and shields so they are not sold, dismantled, or used in another synthesis by mistake.

Step-by-step: obtain and equip Infinite Arrows

1. Farm equipment that already has Abyss Gear

Travel to the Altar of the Ice Watcher, the location recommended by Playnews. The guide places it southwest of Ancestors’ Rest, between Pailune and the desert. Farm the enemies or encounters there until you obtain weapons or shields displaying Abyss Gear.

The target at this stage is gear-bearing equipment, not necessarily Infinite Arrows itself. Check each pickup before selling, dismantling, or replacing it. Keep several pieces because synthesis is not described as a guaranteed conversion and a single item may not produce the tier you need.

Use the altar as a practical starting point, not as a guaranteed drop table. The guide does not establish a fixed drop rate, a guaranteed Infinite Arrows roll, or an exclusive enemy that must be defeated. If the location produces other Abyss Gear effects, that does not mean the run failed; those pieces can still be candidates for extraction and later synthesis.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

2. Take the equipment to a witch

At a witch, open the gear service menu and select the extraction option. Extraction removes the Abyss Gear from the collected weapon or shield so the effect can be used in the witch’s other services. General Abyss Gear guidance also identifies witches as the NPCs responsible for extraction and gear-related work.

Confirm the selected item before accepting. Extraction is the point at which you turn a piece of loot into a usable gear component; do not assume that selling or dismantling the original equipment performs the same operation. If the menu offers a preview, read what is being removed and what remains on the original equipment before confirming.

After extraction, sort the resulting components by name or tier. Keeping the extracted pieces separate from ordinary weapons makes it easier to tell whether a missing synthesis option is caused by the wrong input, an unavailable service, or a changed recipe. The guides do not establish that every Abyss Gear effect is interchangeable, so follow the witch’s current input rules rather than forcing unrelated pieces into a recipe.

3. Use special synthesis

Choose special synthesis at the witch and insert the extracted gear according to the menu’s current recipe. The objective is Infinite Arrows II or Infinite Arrows III. Greymane Codex describes Infinite Arrows as an effect obtained through drops or synthesis rather than an ordinary learned recipe, and its tier guide recommends repeating special synthesis when the desired result does not appear.

Do not budget around a guaranteed number of attempts. The available guides do not establish a fixed success rate, a pity counter, or a universal material cost. Stop before confirming if the result preview is not the tier or effect you intended, and read the current confirmation screen carefully because a later patch may alter the ingredients or output pool.

  • THE BEGINNING OF A NEW JOURNEY — Set out to rebuild the Greymanes, reclaim a lost homeland, and pursue vengeance along a path that reveals deeper truths about power, war, and destiny.

Special synthesis is therefore a conversion gamble, not a standard recipe you can complete once you have a known list of ingredients. Keep enough candidates for more than one attempt, and do not spend the last compatible piece until you have checked the bow’s socket plan. If the preview shows a different effect or tier, record the displayed inputs and output for your own build rather than assuming every version uses the same combination.

4. Check your bow’s sockets

Open the bow’s Abyss Gear screen and verify that a socket is free. If there is no available slot, use the witch’s socket-creation service when the current menu offers it. Socket capacity is a practical limit: an effect you successfully synthesize cannot be installed on a bow with no compatible space.

Socket creation is a separate decision from synthesis. The guides do not provide a verified universal price or material requirement, so inspect the witch’s confirmation panel before paying. If you are trying to install both II and III, count the required spaces first; a single open socket may be enough for one tier but not for the reported combined configuration.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

5. Insert the effect and test the description

Place Infinite Arrows II or III into the bow socket and confirm the resulting effect text. Fire a small number of arrows in a safe area, then inspect your ammunition count rather than relying on an animation or sound. This confirms that the gear is installed on the bow you are actually using and gives you an early warning if the current version handles the effect differently from the guide.

Test with the same bow and ammunition type you plan to use in combat. A successful installation on one bow does not automatically place the effect on every bow in your inventory. If you switch weapons, reopen the equipment screen and verify that the intended effect is still present.

Infinite Arrows II versus III

The following comparison contains the figures reported by Playnews. They are not presented as permanent specifications: check the item card in your game after each major update.

Gear tier Guide-reported chance to avoid consuming an arrow Socket use How to obtain it
Infinite Arrows II 40% recovery, according to Playnews (May 7, 2026) Uses one compatible Abyss Gear socket; exact capacity rules are version-dependent Drop-bearing equipment followed by witch extraction and special synthesis; no ordinary learned recipe is established
Infinite Arrows III 60% recovery, according to Playnews (May 7, 2026) Uses one compatible Abyss Gear socket; exact capacity rules are version-dependent Drop-bearing equipment followed by witch extraction and repeated special synthesis when necessary
II plus III Playnews says the combination reaches 100% recovery Occupies the sockets required by both effects, so confirm your bow has enough capacity Requires obtaining both tiers and installing them together; the combined behavior is guide-reported

The table separates the two individual tier values from the combined claim. The official material cited for this mechanic confirms a later ammunition expansion but does not publish these percentages, so the game’s current item text takes priority over an older guide.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

For a low-investment setup, II may be adequate if you mainly want to reduce resupply trips. III is the stronger single-tier target according to the reported figures, but it may require additional synthesis attempts. The combined setup uses more socket capacity and should be pursued only after confirming that your bow can hold both effects and that the current tooltip still describes their interaction.

Bullets and cannonballs: what changed

Pearl Abyss’s official Version 1.08.00 patch notes state: “Improved the "Infinite Arrows" Abyss gear to function for bullets and cannonballs.” This confirms an official change extending the effect beyond arrows. The retrieved notice does not show a publication date or explain whether every tier, weapon, or ammunition interaction changed identically.

For that reason, inspect the effect description on the weapon you intend to use. A bow remains the compatible equipment type listed by the Crimson Desert Gaming Tools database, while the patch note establishes that the ammunition behavior was broadened. Do not infer from the name alone that every firearm or cannon configuration has identical socket rules.

If your build uses bullets or cannonballs, perform a separate controlled check after installation: note the ammunition count, fire several shots, and inspect the count again. This confirms what the current item card and patch implementation do for your weapon rather than assuming that an arrow test applies unchanged to every ammunition type.

Socket planning and durability cautions

Plan around the bow you actually use

Install the effect on the bow that carries your normal combat setup, not on a temporary weapon you plan to discard. If you are pursuing the guide’s 100% combination, reserve enough sockets for both tiers before spending materials on socket creation or synthesis. A single-tier setup may be the practical choice when your bow has limited capacity or when you are still testing the current patch behavior.

Take on the role of the Greymane Kliff and embark on a journey across the continent to reclaim everything youve lost. Explore uncharted lands, encounter mysterious factions, and experience firsthand a world that is as breathtaking as it is merciless.

Do not fill every socket before deciding whether you need other Abyss Gear effects. The meaningful comparison is not only 40% versus 60%; it is also how many sockets each choice occupies and whether ammunition savings outweigh the effect you give up. The cited guides do not provide a complete table of all competing gear, so make that trade-off from the effects shown on your own bow.

Do not treat “permanent” durability claims as settled

A HaRD Game video description says a configuration combining Infinite Arrows gears provides permanent 100% use without durability loss, while its “Greater Infinite Arrows” version eventually breaks. The available evidence does not independently or officially confirm that distinction for the current build. If your guide or video uses the word permanent, verify it in-game by checking the gear’s durability indicator and observing whether the effect changes after extended use.

If the gear disappears, breaks, or stops preventing ammunition consumption, record the exact item name, tier, bow, and patch number before replacing it. That information distinguishes a durability rule from a failed installation, a changed recipe, or a tooltip update. Do not spend another rare component until you know whether the original effect was removed, exhausted, or simply unsocketed.

Efficient farming and synthesis loop

  1. Clear the Altar of the Ice Watcher route and collect every weapon or shield that visibly carries Abyss Gear.
  2. Return to a witch with an inventory sorted so the candidate items are easy to identify.
  3. Extract the Abyss Gear from the candidates; keep enough spare pieces for more than one synthesis attempt.
  4. Open special synthesis and check the preview for Infinite Arrows II or III before confirming.
  5. Repeat only when the current result is not the tier you need. No source establishes a guaranteed attempt count, so avoid promising yourself a particular number.
  6. Visit the bow’s Abyss Gear screen, create a socket through the witch if necessary, and install the selected tier.
  7. Fire test shots and inspect the ammunition count and durability display.

This loop minimizes a common mistake: farming more equipment after you already have an extracted effect but before checking whether the witch can synthesize it in the current menu. It also leaves a clear recovery path if a later patch changes the recipe.

For efficient inventory handling, keep one bow reserved for testing and another for your finished build. Use the test bow to confirm socket behavior, ammunition recovery, and durability before committing the best bow to a synthesis result. This does not change the odds, but it reduces the cost of discovering that the current menu or tooltip works differently than expected.

Troubleshooting

The Altar of the Ice Watcher is not dropping the effect

The location is a guide-recommended farming spot, not a guaranteed Infinite Arrows drop table. Continue collecting Abyss Gear-bearing equipment and extract it, or test another source available in your current build. The evidence does not establish a fixed drop rate for the altar.

The witch does not show Infinite Arrows in synthesis

Check that you extracted the gear rather than merely carrying the original weapon or shield, and verify that you opened special synthesis rather than an ordinary recipe list. If the option is still absent, confirm the witch’s service requirements and compare the current item descriptions with your game version; menu names and recipes can change.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The synthesis result is the wrong tier

Keep the result only if it fits your socket plan. The guides recommend repeated synthesis for a desired tier, but they do not document a guaranteed reroll method or a fixed number of attempts. Do not assume that combining two visible lower-tier effects will always produce III unless the current menu explicitly previews that result.

The effect cannot be inserted into my weapon

Confirm that the weapon is a bow or that the current patch’s description explicitly supports the ammunition type you are using. Then inspect socket capacity. If every compatible socket is occupied, use the witch’s socket service when available or move the effect to another bow.

Arrows are still being consumed

Verify that the gear appears in the bow’s installed-socket list, not only in your inventory. Fire several test shots and watch the count; a chance-based tier can consume some ammunition. If you expected the guide’s combined 100% result, check that both tiers are installed and that your current item text still describes their combination that way.

The gear disappeared or broke

Do not assume the cause. The reported durability behavior comes from creator guidance rather than an official confirmation. Check the item’s durability, the bow’s socket list, and the current patch notes. If the effect was removed by replacement or extraction, reinstall it through the witch rather than farming blindly.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

I cannot tell whether extraction worked

Look for the extracted component in the witch’s synthesis inputs or your gear inventory, and check that the original weapon or shield no longer carries the same socketed effect. If neither state is clear, cancel further actions and reread the extraction confirmation. Selling, dismantling, and extraction are separate operations.

How many attempts or materials should I save?

No fixed attempt count, pity counter, or universal material cost is established. Save more than one gear-bearing item, inspect the live fee and ingredient list, and stop if the preview does not match your target. A guide’s recommendation to repeat synthesis is not a guarantee of success after a particular number of tries.

What to verify after a patch

  • Whether the Altar of the Ice Watcher still produces equipment carrying Abyss Gear.
  • Whether extraction and special synthesis retain the same labels and prerequisites.
  • The percentage printed on Infinite Arrows II and III.
  • The number of sockets required for a combined setup.
  • Whether bullets and cannonballs remain covered under the Version 1.08.00 change and whether any newer note narrows that behavior.
  • Any durability, breakage, or replacement warning shown on the gear card.
  • Whether the witch still offers socket creation for the bow you intend to use.

These checks matter because the acquisition route is guide-reported and the official patch excerpt confirms only the ammunition-function improvement, not every recipe, percentage, or durability rule.

Practical choice: II, III, or both

Choose Infinite Arrows II when you want a lower-tier effect and have limited synthesis resources. Choose III when the higher guide-reported recovery chance justifies additional attempts and socket investment. Pursue both only after confirming that your bow has sufficient capacity and that the current in-game description still supports the claimed 100% combination. In every case, let the witch’s live menu and the item tooltip override an older guide.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

There is no physical product purchase or outside accessory required for this route. The meaningful costs are your farming time, the equipment consumed by extraction and synthesis, any socket-creation fee shown by the witch, and the opportunity cost of using bow sockets for ammunition conservation instead of another effect.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Infinite Arrows a separate item I can equip from the ammunition menu?

No. It is socketed Abyss Gear. The database lists bows as the compatible equipment, so obtain the effect through extraction or synthesis and install it in a bow socket.

Where should I farm the equipment for Infinite Arrows?

Playnews recommends the Altar of the Ice Watcher, southwest of Ancestors’ Rest between Pailune and the desert. It is a guide-recommended location, not a guaranteed drop table.

Which witch can extract the gear?

The guides describe witches as handling extraction and gear services; Elowen is a named example. Use whichever witch and menu your current progression provides.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Can I craft Infinite Arrows with an ordinary learned recipe?

The gear guides describe it as coming from drops or special synthesis rather than an ordinary learned recipe. Check the current witch menu for the exact inputs.

What are the reported values for Infinite Arrows II and III?

Playnews reports 40% arrow recovery for II and 60% for III. Those figures are version-sensitive guide values, so confirm the percentages on your in-game item cards.

Does combining II and III guarantee no ammunition consumption?

Playnews says the combination reaches 100% recovery. Install both only if your bow has enough sockets and the current tooltip still supports that behavior.

Does Infinite Arrows work with bullets and cannonballs?

Pearl Abyss Version 1.08.00 patch notes say the gear was improved to function for bullets and cannonballs. Verify the current description and socket rules for the weapon you use.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

How much does synthesis cost, and how many attempts are needed?

No universal price, ingredient list, success rate, or fixed attempt count is established. Use the fee and preview shown by the witch in your build and keep spare gear-bearing equipment.

Why did my Infinite Arrows gear disappear or break?

Durability claims are not officially settled. Check the item’s durability, socket list, exact tier, and patch version before replacing it; creator guidance says some Greater Infinite Arrows setups eventually break.

The Bottom Line

Farm Abyss Gear-bearing weapons or shields at the Altar of the Ice Watcher, extract them at a witch, and use special synthesis for Infinite Arrows II or III. Install the result in a compatible bow socket, test ammunition behavior, and verify the live tooltip after updates. The 40%/60% tier figures, reported 100% combination, and durability behavior are guide- or creator-reported rather than permanent guarantees.
