There is no single best settings list for every PC running Crimson Desert: Pearl Abyss says performance varies with hardware, software and individual graphics settings. Start with your game version, drivers, resolution and target frame rate, then compare changes on your own system one at a time. The official PC requirements below were updated July 6, 2026; graphics features and fixes may change with later patches.
Check your PC and establish a baseline
Pearl Abyss lists the following PC requirements on its support page, updated July 6, 2026. These are hardware tiers, not promises of a particular frame rate or image quality at a given resolution.

Pearl Abyss’ separate PC performance notice says the latest DirectX 12 is required and cautions that results depend on a PC’s hardware and software configuration and individual graphics options. Check the official PC performance notice and current support requirements if your setup is near or below the listed tiers.
Before changing settings, note your CPU, GPU and RAM, game version, graphics-driver version, display resolution and desired frame rate. Use the same scene and camera movement for each comparison. This makes it easier to distinguish a real improvement from a change in scenery or workload.

How to tune settings without guessing
- Update first. Install the latest game patch and graphics driver. Pearl Abyss recommends both as initial troubleshooting steps.
- Choose a repeatable test. Return to the same area and camera angle after each adjustment. Compare both the FPS counter and frame pacing: uneven delivery can feel choppy even when the displayed average looks acceptable.
- Change one option at a time. Start with the rendering mode or upscaler, then assess other demanding graphics options only if your measurements show you need more performance. Keep a note of the original value so you can revert.
- Judge the image while moving. Inspect fine detail, foliage and edges in motion as well as when standing still. A sharper still image is not necessarily the more stable choice during camera movement.
- Recheck after patches. Updates can change rendering, fix artifacts or add features; a setting that behaved one way in an older version may not behave the same now.
This is a practical comparison method, not a Pearl Abyss benchmark prescription. The official material does not establish a universally optimal ray-tracing, lighting or detail setting, nor a controlled best-settings result for 1080p, 1440p or 4K.
Should you use DLSS, FSR or XeSS?
Pearl Abyss’ PC support FAQ, updated June 23, 2026, lists AMD FSR 3 and 4, NVIDIA DLSS 4 and 4.5, and Intel XeSS 3. That confirms listed feature support; it is not a head-to-head image-quality or performance test. Which option is available and useful depends on your GPU and game version.

If your hardware offers more than one option, compare native rendering with the compatible quality modes at your actual display resolution. Use the same test scene, and look for fine-detail retention, stability during motion, frame pacing and responsiveness—not just a higher FPS number. Choose the mode that improves performance without introducing image problems you find distracting.
Patch history is one reason to avoid relying on old setting advice. Pearl Abyss said patch 1.02.00, released April 4, 2026, improved PC FSR upscaling and frame-generation quality and fixed several issues involving ray reconstruction, GPU load, shimmering, foliage in ray-traced reflections, and flickering with DLAA and HDR. Those are developer descriptions of changes, not independent measurements of their effect on every PC.

When frame generation makes sense
Frame generation creates additional displayed frames; it is not the same as raising the game’s underlying rendered frame rate. Evaluate it by perceived smoothness and responsiveness alongside the base frame rate, rather than treating a larger FPS counter as proof of a better experience.
Patch 1.05.00, released May 2, 2026, added Dynamic Multi-Frame Generation in PC Settings > Video. Pearl Abyss says this specific feature is exclusive to GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs. It is not an option for older GeForce cards or other GPU families. Check the current game menu and support information because availability can change with updates.

Fix blurry images, stutter or visual glitches
If the picture looks blurry
- Check whether an upscaler is active and compare its available quality modes against native rendering in the same scene.
- Assess fine detail while the camera is moving; do not judge only from a static view.
- Confirm that the game is current. Pearl Abyss has adjusted upscaling and fixed specific visual issues in patches.
If performance is uneven or below expectations
- Compare frame pacing as well as the FPS counter, then change one graphics option and repeat the same scene.
- Make sure the game and GPU driver are updated, and confirm your PC meets the published requirements.
- If the game is crashing, failing to launch or showing corruption, Pearl Abyss recommends verifying game files through Steam or Epic and checking its current known issues and FAQs.
If a visual artifact appeared after an update
Check the game version and current patch notes before assuming a setting or GPU is at fault. For example, Pearl Abyss’ July 24, 2026 patch 1.15.00 notes a fix for abnormal HDR colors and transparency affecting certain UI elements. That specific fix is evidence that version context can matter; it does not establish the cause of every HDR artifact.

Pearl Abyss says background antivirus, VPN, firewall, security, recording or broadcasting software may interfere with launch or affect performance and stability. Treat these as troubleshooting checks for a suspected conflict, not routine optimization steps; consult the current support guidance before changing security settings.
Keep advice tied to the game version
Graphics support has changed across updates. Patch 1.03.00, released April 11, 2026, added Intel Arc support, XeSS 3.0 and XeSS Frame Generation, AMD Radeon Anti-Lag 2, Displacement Scale and Detail Decorative Mesh. Its notes warned that Intel Arc A-series GPUs might not display correctly with XeSS 3.0 or XeSS Frame Generation enabled. Because that warning is dated, check current known issues rather than assuming it still applies.
For current feature availability and troubleshooting, consult the Pearl Abyss PC support page and the official patch and performance notices. Revisit your settings after a substantial update, especially if the patch changes rendering or adds graphics options.
