Crimson Desert requires 150 GB of available space on an SSD for PC. Pearl Abyss lists the same storage requirement for both its minimum and recommended PC specifications. The figure is free space to have available; it is not a guarantee that the installed game will stay exactly 150 GB after updates.

Does Crimson Desert require an SSD?
Yes. The publisher marks an SSD as required in both PC requirement tiers. Check that the drive you plan to install the game on is an SSD and has at least 150 GB of available space. The listed requirement does not specify a drive interface, model, brand, or speed beyond requiring an SSD.

How to check whether your PC meets the requirements
- Check free space on the intended SSD. Confirm that the installation drive has 150 GB available. If it does not, free up space or choose another SSD with enough capacity.
- Compare your processor and graphics card. Use the minimum column as the publisher’s lower listed configuration and the recommended column as its higher listed configuration; compare your CPU and GPU with the corresponding models in the table.
- Verify memory and software support. The listed configurations both call for 16 GB of RAM, Windows 10 64-bit, and DirectX 12. Pearl Abyss specifies a 64-bit processor and operating system and a Windows-compatible audio device.
- Check the publisher’s current specifications before installing. Requirements and available-space needs can change, so consult the Pearl Abyss Support PC requirements for the latest listing.
What minimum and recommended mean
The table gives two hardware tiers, but Pearl Abyss does not promise a particular frame rate or graphics preset simply from meeting either tier. Its notice says performance figures are based on internal testing and that results may vary with PC hardware, software configuration, and individual graphics settings. Do these storage requirements apply to consoles or Mac?
No PC storage figure should be assumed for other platforms. Pearl Abyss announced Crimson Desert for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Apple Mac, Epic Games Store, and ROG Xbox Ally, but the PC table’s 150 GB requirement is specifically for PC.
