The number also should not be confused with a separate, earlier estimate for Steam alone. In a July 27, 2026 Korean-language press release, Pearl Abyss relayed Alinea Analytics’ estimate of more than $190 million in Steam revenue since launch. That platform-specific estimate has a different scope from the later multi-platform figure. Pearl Abyss’s release describes the Steam amount as an estimate by the analytics firm.
What commercial milestones has Pearl Abyss confirmed?
In an announcement dated April 15, 2026, Pearl Abyss said Crimson Desert had sold more than five million copies worldwide. The company also reported a peak of 276,261 concurrent Steam players since release. These are company-reported milestones as of that announcement, not a current lifetime sales total or a revenue figure. Pearl Abyss’s announcement includes both figures and says updates would address player feedback.

Copies sold, concurrent players, and estimated revenue are different measures. The two revenue estimates also cover different platform scopes, and the available information does not establish a directly comparable, independently verified net-revenue figure.
What did Pearl Abyss say it would change after player feedback?
In a June 2, 2026 developer update, Pearl Abyss said feedback was informing work on several parts of the game. It is fair to say Pearl Abyss has described an active feedback process alongside strong reported sales milestones. It would go beyond the evidence to say feedback was the key to the game’s success.
