Which platforms can you play the Croc remaster on?

Argonaut’s official retrospective confirms the console line-up and PC release. Steam lists October 17, 2025 as the release date for its version. The publisher’s FAQ describes the Platinum Edition as available for Steam, GOG, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox.
What is the “surprise exclusion”?
The official information reviewed does not name a platform that was unexpectedly left out of the first remaster. It confirms availability on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, as well as PS4, PS5, Switch, Steam, and GOG. Without a source identifying the intended omission, naming a “missing” platform would be speculation.

One possible source of confusion is Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos. Argonaut’s October 1, 2026 press announcement schedules that separate remaster for digital release on October 29, 2026, on Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Steam, and GOG. Xbox One is not in the announced sequel list. That difference applies to Croc 2; it does not change the released platform list for the first remaster.
What does the Platinum Edition add?
Argonaut describes Platinum Edition as a significant free update. It adds Time Attack mode, more than 25 Crocipedia entries, selectable Croc theme mixes, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements. Argonaut says most existing purchases update automatically. On PlayStation, owners need to download the Platinum Edition version from the PlayStation Store; it is free for people who previously bought the PS4 or PS5 game.

Some features vary by platform. Argonaut gives the PlayStation Platinum Trophy and in-game achievements on Switch as examples. Check the edition and platform details for the version you plan to play.
What is included in the remaster?
Argonaut’s product page describes 45 levels across five worlds, enhanced HD graphics, modernized controls with an updated camera, and retro video modes. The Crocipedia is an in-game collection of development material and interviews assembled with members of the original team.

Are physical PS5 and Switch editions available?
Argonaut’s current remaster page promotes physical Platinum Editions for PS5 and Nintendo Switch and links to Amazon US preorder listings, as well as VGP and Rock It Games. Those publisher links do not establish whether a retailer currently has stock or what its delivery date is. Check the retailer’s live listing for order status and fulfillment estimates.
In its 2026 update, Argonaut said the physical editions missed their intended ship date. It cited production work on physical items and the decision to hold disc and cartridge manufacturing for the updated Platinum Edition, followed by resubmission and Sony and Nintendo approval delays. The update gave no firm shipping date.

Does the PC version include Croc Classic?
Argonaut’s FAQ says a purchase of the remaster on GOG comes with Croc Classic. The FAQ does not state regional limits or how long the offer lasts, so check the live GOG listing for current terms. The Steam page lists Argonaut Games as the publisher.
