Cronos: The New Dawn does not have a confirmed built-in cheat-code menu. Its usable “codes” are combinations for progression locks, discovered through nearby notes, photographs and audio clues. Entering them opens optional rooms, shortcuts or resource caches; it does not activate invincibility, unlimited ammunition or other conventional cheats.
The combinations below are reported by a September 4, 2025 Playnews guide, while post-game unlocks and glitch information come from a separate secondary source. Treat route names and patch-sensitive behavior as build-dependent, and check the clue in your own game if a door does not accept a code.

What “cheats” mean in Cronos: The New Dawn
The game’s official survival design makes exploration and resource management more important than secret button sequences. Bandai Namco’s description warns that “The creatures you kill won’t stay dead for long.” Through the Merging mechanic, a fallen enemy can be absorbed by another creature, producing a faster, tougher threat. Spending ammunition to clear a room without watching where bodies lie can therefore make the next encounter harder.
That context explains why the documented combinations are environmental puzzles rather than power-ups. You find a clue, reach a locked container or door, and enter a three-digit sequence. The reward is usually access to supplies, a route or a key. There is no confirmed official option that turns on infinite health, ammunition or instant upgrades.

The table uses a spoiler-light approach: it gives each combination and the clue location without describing every fight on the way. The following route notes add the actions needed to reach each clue.

These are progression combinations, not universal cheat codes. They work only at the matching lock, and a code can be useless until the associated area, key or clue has been reached.
Key locations and the routes that lead to them
Old Key: the apartment-complex route
When you find the note titled “Dangerous Games,” search the room to the left of the blocked door. The Old Key is in that room. It opens the route through the apartment complex, so collect it before moving on from the area. If the blocked door remains your only obvious path, check the adjacent room rather than searching for a numerical code.

The storage lock uses the first combination in the table. The clue is an audio log in the room next to the lock. The secondary guide names that recording inconsistently in its body and FAQ; because of that conflict, the reliable instruction is simply to listen to the adjoining log. If you have entered the area but cannot identify the recording, inspect every interactable object in that neighboring room and confirm that the log has been added to your archive.

First Traveler’s Seal Key: burn the black biomass
Return to the optional room near the route where you acquire a Torch Fuel canister. Use the fuel on the nearby black biomass. Burning it reveals the first Traveler’s Seal Key. The key fits a circular lock in the previous room and leads to additional resources.
This detour is easy to skip if you treat the fuel as an ordinary consumable. Save enough fuel to interact with the biomass, and search the surrounding walls after the flames clear; the reward is not presented as a conventional keypad code.
Second Traveler’s Seal Key: the chained door and the cat
Once you have the Bolt Cutters, return to the beginning of the Sector D-3 Housing Complex. Cut the chains on the door there. A cat inside provides the second Traveler’s Seal Key. The return trip is intentional, so do not assume that a previously visited entrance has become irrelevant after obtaining the cutters.

Edward Wisniewski’s apartment safe: inspect the photograph
The apartment safe’s clue is a nearby floor photograph showing young Angela’s birthday party. Examine the image, then enter the safe combination from the table. If the keypad rejects your input, make sure you are interacting with Edward Wisniewski’s apartment safe rather than another container in the complex; the game contains multiple locked objects with different clues.

Steelworks Hall B: loading area and restricted door
In the Steelworks, pass through the loading area and locate the door marked “military personnel only.” The note containing the Hall B combination is beyond that door. Read the note before leaving so the lock is recorded in your evidence or objective log. The restricted-door label is the route marker; searching unrelated offices will not reveal the same clue.
Steelworks Isolation Zone: Master Key route
Progress through the Steelworks until you face two large Orphans. After defeating them, use the Steelworks Master Key on the next door. The clue note for the Isolation Zone lock is inside. This sequence matters: looking for the note before the Orphan encounter or before obtaining the Master Key can make the area appear inaccessible.
How to enter a combination without missing the clue
- Locate the correct lock. Read the label or inspect the object so you know whether you are at the storage room, an apartment safe or a Steelworks door.
- Search the immediate vicinity. Check photographs, notes, audio logs and interactable objects in the adjoining rooms before trying random numbers.
- Clear the interaction state. Finish listening to an audio log or reading a note, then return to the keypad. Some doors do not register the clue until the interaction has completed.
- Enter the three digits in order. Use the hyphenated values in the table as three sequential inputs, not as one number.
- Confirm the opening animation. If the lock clicks but the door remains shut, move away and interact again; if there is no response, verify that you are at the matching lock and that the required key or story event has occurred.
For a low-spoiler run, follow the clue locations and discover the numbers yourself. For a completion-focused run, use the table first and then backtrack for the optional resources, keys and cat encounter.

Reported post-game unlocks and other “cheat” claims
A Cheats.co page reports several features that are not confirmed by the official material cited for the game. They should be treated as claims about a particular build, not guaranteed instructions for every platform.

If you want a conventional trainer, the safest assumption is that none is officially supported. Back up saves before experimenting with any external software, keep it offline, and verify that it matches your exact game version. The documented in-game combinations above require no external files.
Hidden interaction and the church gate issue
Hospital red-square easter egg
The secondary guide describes an interactable red square in the hospital. It is presented as an easter egg rather than a progression requirement. Search hospital rooms for an unusually vivid red square and interact with it when the prompt appears; do not spend ammunition or key items trying to force it open.
Church-catacomb gate
That guide also records a workaround for a church-catacomb gate that reportedly blocked progress and says the issue was fixed in patch 1.006. Treat the workaround as historical. If the gate is still blocked, install the latest update for your platform, reload an earlier save and retry the preceding objective before attempting an old workaround. A solution written for a pre-1.006 build may be unnecessary or may no longer match the level state.

GameSpot’s guide index lists separate help for all seven weapons, cat locations, early upgrades, survival advice and church and hospital puzzles. Steam Community’s guide index groups player-made material under Secrets, Walkthroughs, Achievements, Gameplay Basics and Loot, including a cats-locations guide. Those indexes are useful starting points when you have finished the code locks, but an index does not prove that a particular guide is complete or current.

Use the same discipline as with the combinations: record the area, the required tool and the build number. A weapon or cat guide that omits a return trip can make a collectible appear permanently missed when it is actually gated by Bolt Cutters, Torch Fuel or a story key.
Platform, edition and build checks
The official publisher page lists physical and digital editions and identifies PlayStation 5, PC and Nintendo Switch 2 among the platforms. Availability can vary by country and edition. Before following a patch-sensitive instruction, check the title-screen version number and install pending updates. A route shown on one platform may use different button prompts or loading transitions on another even when the lock combination is unchanged.
The Playnews code guide is dated September 4, 2025; that is the guide’s publication date, not a game-update date. The combination list should therefore be treated as a practical walkthrough reference, while the game itself remains the final authority if an object has moved or a lock behaves differently after an update.
Quick troubleshooting
- The keypad accepts no input: Confirm that you are at the matching lock, not a nearby container, and complete the associated note, photograph or audio interaction first.
- The clue is missing: Search the adjoining room, loading area or post-boss room described for that lock. Several clues are behind a required key, tool or enemy encounter.
- A door remains blocked: Check whether the Old Key, Steelworks Master Key, Torch Fuel or Bolt Cutters is required before assuming the combination is wrong.
- The church gate will not open: Update the game, reload a save before entering the catacomb and retry the preceding objective. The reported patch-1.006 workaround may be obsolete.
- You are considering a PC table: Treat every third-party file as unverified, match it to the exact build or avoid it. The game’s own locks can be solved without external cheats.
The reliable “codes” in Cronos: The New Dawn are the four exploration combinations and the keys that connect their routes. Everything beyond those locks—New Game+, Hard mode, an extra ending, the hospital interaction and PC tables—comes from secondary reporting and should be checked against your current build rather than treated as an official cheat system.
