Is Cronos: The New Dawn on Switch 2?
Yes. The Switch 2 version launched on 5 September 2025 and is listed by Nintendo UK. Nintendo describes it as a third-person survival-horror game in which a Traveler working for the Collective moves between a devastated future and 1980s Poland through time rifts. Players scavenge limited ammunition and supplies, fight with an arsenal of weapons and manipulate temporal anomalies.

- Cronos: The New Dawn is a brutal third-person survival horror where you fight for the future by salvaging the past. Burn monsters before they merge. Extract souls from the living. Adapt or die
- SURVIVE THE FUTURE SALVAGE THE PAST: Set in a grim world where Eastern European brutalism meets retro-futurist technology, Cronos: The New Dawn lets you experience a gripping story that straddles the line between past and future
- ADAPT or PERISH: In a desolate world filled with ever-present danger, your survival hinges on your ability to strategize and plan ahead. The enemies you’ll encounter are nightmarish creatures, born from the remnants of humanity – defeating them will require you to make full use of your arsenal
- Don't LET THEM MERGE: The creatures you kill won’t stay dead for long. Fallen enemies can be absorbed by others - through a grotesque process called Merging - to become faster, tougher, and far deadlie
The creature-fusion mechanic makes corpse management important: Sega’s Japanese product page says defeated enemies can merge with nearby bodies unless they are burned, becoming more dangerous. The game also has players extract essence from important people with a Harvester. Carrying more essence strengthens the suit’s curse, improving combat ability while intensifying psychological effects such as whispers and visual disturbances. The setting draws on Nowa Huta, a historic district of Kraków, and contrasts a post-apocalyptic future with industrial 1980s Poland. Sega’s Japanese product page and Bandai Namco Europe’s launch notice describe these details.
