The dated material does not identify a vendor specification, executable build or current download that contains exactly eight cheats. It documents community posts whose option lists changed as users added features and reported compatibility problems.

The two historical option lists you will see most often
January 28, 2018: WeMod community topic
A WeMod community topic started by STiNGERR on January 28, 2018 describes obtaining a trainer through the WeMod app. The post says development began on that date, refers to a release with nine cheats, and records later additions. The complete list shown in the topic contains 12 labels:

The post’s “nine cheats” wording and its later additions are why counting the visible labels as a current “+8” package is misleading. The topic is a historical record, not a promise that every release exposed all 12 options at once.

The 2019 topic also does not convert its 13 entries into an eight-option edition.

Why a current eight-option build cannot be confirmed
Neither historical topic supplies all of the information needed to authenticate a present-day trainer: a current release number, a supported Crusader Kings II executable hash, a maintained compatibility statement, or a reproducible test procedure. The software was delivered through an app in the 2018 account, while the 2019 page records updates rather than a permanent feature contract.
Community reports in those threads mention crashes, cheats failing after game updates and difficulty with a 64-bit game version. Those are individual reports from that period, not controlled tests and not evidence of what happens on a current installation. They do, however, show why a trainer should never be selected by option count alone.
How game-version compatibility affects a trainer
Trainers generally depend on the internal memory layout and code behavior of one or more game builds. A Paradox patch can change those addresses or rules even when the visible feature appears unchanged. The Paradox license text also states that the game may be patched or updated to fix bugs, rebalance play or add or remove features. A trainer that worked with a 2019 executable can therefore fail, do nothing or behave unpredictably after a later update.

Before considering any historical listing, record the exact game version shown by your launcher and compare it with the trainer post’s stated compatibility. If the listing gives no executable version, update date or 64-bit qualification, compatibility is unverified—not “probably fine.” Keep separate saves and assume that a modified session may not be recoverable if the game crashes while writing.

Steam’s documented rollback path
Paradox Helpdesk’s article, updated July 15, 2026, explains that Steam users can select an earlier game version through the game’s properties:
- Open your Steam library and right-click Crusader Kings II.
- Choose Properties.
- Open the Betas tab.
- Select the earlier version offered for your game from the branch selector.
- Allow Steam to finish downloading the selected build, then launch only after the displayed version matches the one you intend to use.
This rollback facility is documented for the Steam edition only. The Helpdesk article does not provide an equivalent procedure for other platforms, and selecting an older branch does not guarantee that a historical trainer will work. It merely gives Steam users a way to reproduce an earlier game build when that branch is available.
Ironman, console access and achievements
The dated 2019 list includes “Ironman Console access,” which can create the impression that a trainer has a verified way around Ironman restrictions. The available records do not establish whether that option works on a current build, whether a save remains a legitimate Ironman save, or how the game treats achievements after a trainer modifies it.
There is likewise no verified current answer to “Does this trainer disable achievements?” Achievement behavior can depend on the game version, save state and the exact modification. Do not advertise a historical option as achievement-safe, Ironman-safe or multiplayer-safe. If those conditions matter, use the unmodified game and treat any third-party alteration as outside the documented guarantee.

The license issue you should understand
The Steam-hosted Paradox EULA includes this prohibition: “Use, develop, distribute or sell cheats, automation software (bots), hacks or any other unauthorized third-party software designed to modify the Game;”
That sentence is the language of the cited EULA, not legal advice and not a claim that every platform uses identical terms. It does mean that a trainer designed to modify the game can conflict with the terms that apply to your installation. Check the current agreement for your platform and region before using or distributing any such software. Never use a modification to gain an advantage in multiplayer or to interfere with another player’s session.

- Publication date: Is the option list current, or is it copied from the 2018 or 2019 community discussions?
- Option count: Are there exactly eight named switches, or does the page reuse a longer historical list?
- Distribution route: Is the software delivered through an identifiable application, and does the page explain what is installed?
- Update evidence: Does the source document a post-update compatibility check, rather than merely listing old fixes?
- Failure handling: Are there clear instructions for disabling the trainer, verifying game files and restoring an unmodified save?
- Mode limitations: Does it clearly state what is unknown about Ironman, achievements and multiplayer?
- Terms and security: Have you read the applicable platform terms and verified the download’s provenance before running it?
A page that cannot answer these questions may still contain an old list, but it has not demonstrated a current eight-option trainer.

What the historical lists are useful for
The old posts remain useful as a vocabulary guide. They show the kinds of values community trainers attempted to change—resources such as piety, prestige, money or technology points; character statistics; movement and morale; construction timers; revolt-related values; and special modes such as an Ironman console option. They also show that names and counts changed as different authors maintained different releases.
They are not a recommendation, a ranking or a compatibility table. Treat each label as a dated claim by its original poster. If a modern page presents one of these lists without preserving the date and source, you cannot tell whether it is describing the same executable, a repackaged file or a nonfunctional copy.
Bottom line
The safest accurate answer to “Crusader Kings 2 Trainer (+8 Options)” is that the exact current eight-option trainer has not been verified. Historical WeMod and community topics document larger, changing lists from 2018 and 2019, along with period reports of crashes and update-related failures. Match any software to an explicitly supported game build, keep Ironman and achievement claims unconfirmed, and consider the Paradox EULA’s prohibition on unauthorized game-modifying software before proceeding.
