Crusaders of Might and Magic has two separate cheat traditions. On PC, the reference list uses typed commands entered during play. On PlayStation, the documented tricks are unlockable or sequence-based procedures rather than PC-style codes. Use the platform-specific instructions below: -crazyguy, -whoah, -embiggenme and -uberload are listed for PC, while Infinite Items and the reported Level 1 skip belong to PlayStation.
These instructions come from archived database and contributor pages, not a current developer manual. No hands-on test established how the commands behave on every original release, patch, hardware revision or emulator, so make a separate save before experimenting.

PC and PlayStation cheats are not interchangeable
The first decision is your platform. GameSpot’s combined reference separates the title’s PC and PlayStation material, while GameFAQs has a dedicated PlayStation cheats page. The PC entries are typed commands; the PlayStation entries are an unlock condition and a multi-start sequence. A PlayStation console cannot be assumed to accept the PC strings, and the PlayStation procedures are not documented as PC commands.

PC cheats and codes
According to the PC list, press Enter while the game is running and type the desired command. The source does not specify a separate console, confirmation key, capitalization rule or whether a visible message appears, so do not infer those details. Enter the hyphen exactly as shown.

The wording in the effect column follows the archived listing rather than a modern technical interpretation. In particular, “AMD 3D Now support,” “box mode” and “toggle landscape” are labels from that reference; the page does not document hardware requirements, a visual example or a way to reverse every setting. The same source lists -calcfps and -showfps separately, so treat them as separate commands rather than assuming one replaces the other.
Useful order for trying the codes
- Make a normal save in a slot you can restore.
- Stay in active gameplay rather than a menu, because the instruction specifically says to press Enter during play.
- Type one complete command, including its leading hyphen and, for
-3dnow!, the exclamation mark. - Test the result before entering another command. This makes it easier to identify which entry caused a display, movement or game-state change.
- Restore the save if a debug, frame-rate, landscape or level-jump command leaves the game in an inconvenient state.
There is no evidence in the listing that these commands persist between sessions, work in multiplayer, or are safe to use during a mission-critical transition. The conservative approach is to use them for experimentation and keep an untouched save for ordinary progression.

PlayStation secrets and unlockables
Infinite Items
The PlayStation cheats page lists “Infinite Items” as an unlockable: beat the game, then start a new game. It is presented as a post-completion condition, not as a button combination or text code. The page does not enumerate which items are affected, whether the effect applies to every item type, or whether it carries into an existing save, so those details should not be assumed.
Because the condition requires a completed game, keep your finished save. Starting a new game should be done only after confirming that the completion data remains available on your release or emulator. The reference does not state whether deleting the completed save removes the unlock.
Reported “Skip Level 1” sequence
GameFAQs describes a sequence that is supposed to bypass the opening level. It is contributor-submitted information, not a tested guarantee. Follow the stages exactly:

- Play until you reach the Beach outside the Citadel.
- Start a new game again.
- Repeat the process so that you begin a third new game.
- On that third start, the report says you should appear at the end of the Stronghold, outside the entrance to the Beach.
The same contributor note warns that you will not have collected the items from the Stronghold. That limitation matters: the sequence may move your position without granting the normal equipment or pickups from the skipped section. Make a backup save before attempting it, and do not treat an unexpected starting location as proof that every early-game item or trigger has been awarded.

It does not establish that the sequence works on every regional disc, memory-card state, hardware revision or emulator, nor does it explain what happens if you start the new game from a partially completed save. If the third start behaves normally, reload your backup rather than repeatedly overwriting it.
How to choose a cheat without damaging a run
For testing combat or resources
On PC, -embiggenme is the direct choice when the goal is survivability, while -crazyguy addresses the listed spells-and-mana effect. They are separate entries, so using one does not establish that the other is active. Test each on a disposable save and record whether the effect changes immediately or only after entering a new area.

For movement and level access
-whoah is the PC flight entry and -uberload is the random-level entry. A random destination is inherently less predictable than a normal level transition; save before entering it and expect that story triggers, inventory placement or enemy encounters may not follow the intended order. On PlayStation, the reported Level 1 skip is a completely different mechanism and has the documented Stronghold-item drawback.
For technical diagnostics
-showfps, -calcfps, -debug, -boundingbox, -cswire and -3dnow! are the technical or display-oriented entries in the PC list. The reference does not explain their output or provide troubleshooting steps. If a command changes the display or exposes diagnostic text, turn it off only if the game accepts the same command as a toggle; otherwise reload the pre-test save.
Walkthroughs and level-by-level help
Cheats answer a narrow problem, but an old walkthrough can be more useful when you need an item location, a route or an enemy weakness. The available guides are historical archives and should not be presented as current official manuals.

PC guide
GameFAQs hosts Lord Haart’s Crusaders of Might and Magic – Guide and Walkthrough, version 0.64, updated January 25, 2000. Its page includes early-level walkthrough material and monster information, but it is explicitly marked incomplete. Use it as a reference for the sections it actually covers, not as proof that every level or late-game encounter is documented.

PlayStation guide
Jesse Thompson’s PlayStation guide is dated January 30, 2001. Its contents identify sections for items, magic, elements, enemy weaknesses and walkthrough material. Those headings make it useful for planning a route or checking a specific category, but the date means modern emulation, regional differences and altered controller setups may not match the original context.

Troubleshooting and evidence limits
A PC code appears to do nothing
- Confirm that you are playing the PC version, not the PlayStation release.
- Press Enter during active play, as the reference instructs, rather than assuming a title-screen or pause-menu entry point.
- Check every character in the code, including the initial hyphen and the exclamation mark in
-3dnow!. - Try from a clean save and one command at a time.
- Allow for release, patch and emulator differences; the archived page does not promise universal compatibility.
The PlayStation sequence does not skip the opening
Verify that you reached the Beach outside the Citadel before restarting, and count the new-game starts carefully. The report places the result on the third start. If it still fails, restore the backup and use the normal route; the procedure is contributor-submitted and has no documented recovery method.
Items are missing after the skip
This is the one consequence specifically noted by the contributor: items from the Stronghold will not have been collected. Reload the pre-sequence save if those pickups matter to your build or completion goals. Do not assume the Infinite Items unlock repairs missing early-game pickups, since the source does not connect the two features.
What these references establish—and what they do not
The references establish a platform split, a ten-entry PC code list, a PlayStation post-completion Infinite Items condition and a reported three-start Level 1 skip. They do not provide developer-authenticated command documentation, current compatibility testing, exact regional behavior, emulator settings, a complete list of affected items or a guarantee that the skip preserves progression flags. Treat the entries as practical archival leads and preserve ordinary saves before using them.
