Counter-Strike 2’s May 7, 2025 “Mission Possible” update added five community maps to official matchmaking and introduced weekly missions that reward XP. Jura, Grail, and Agency joined Competitive, Casual, and Deathmatch; Dogtown and Brewery joined Wingman. These are the additions announced in that update, not a confirmed list of today’s map rotation.
Which maps did the May 2025 CS2 update add?
Valve added five community maps to matchmaking, split between standard modes and Wingman:
| Maps | Modes added in the May 7, 2025 update |
|---|---|
| Jura, Grail, and Agency | Competitive, Casual, and Deathmatch |
| Dogtown and Brewery | Wingman |
The update also removed Basalt, Edin, Palais, and Whistle from all game modes, and reorganized the Casual and Deathmatch map groups. Valve listed the groups as follows:
- Defusal Group Alpha: Dust 2, Mirage, Inferno, Vertigo
- Defusal Group Delta: Train, Anubis, Ancient, Overpass, Nuke
- Community Map Group: Jura, Grail, Agency
- Hostage Group: Office, Italy
This grouping describes the arrangement Valve announced in May 2025. Valve’s official CS2 news listing includes later updates, so the 2025 notes alone do not establish which maps are in the live pool now.

How did weekly missions work?
The update introduced a weekly mission system. Valve said players receive one mission each week; a mission could be opened from the Main Menu or Play Menu, expired after seven days, and awarded XP when completed. Valve described the bonus as optional: “Your mission, should you choose to accept it, can be completed for bonus XP.”
The announcement did not specify mission examples or an XP amount. For the exact wording and full patch details, read Valve’s May 7, 2025 “Mission Possible” announcement.
