GamesRadar’s review characterizes much of the experience as peaceful exploration and investigation, without the monster attacks or jump scares some players expect from a cosmic-horror label. The same review reports frustrating navigation and puzzle mechanics. In other words, tension often comes from uncertainty, routes, clues, and decisions rather than constant combat encounters.

If you are searching specifically for ammunition codes, damage multipliers, or boss strategies, you may be approaching the game as the wrong genre. Your most valuable “shortcut” is a methodical investigation routine: read the available information, inspect the surroundings, consider the wording of a choice, and only then commit to a response.

Gameplay tips that are supported by published coverage
1. Treat choices as consequential
TechRadar’s PS5 review says player choices can affect the world, characters, and ending. That does not amount to a complete choice-by-choice route, so no responsible guide can promise a particular ending from a short list of “correct” answers.
When the game presents a significant dialogue or investigation decision, slow down. Consider what Noah knows, what the other character is asking, and whether the wording suggests an immediate commitment. If you are pursuing a role-play outcome, choose consistently with that intention rather than chasing an unverified online claim that one response is universally best.
Because the available evidence does not map every branch, keep your own notes if you care about seeing different consequences. Record the scene, the options you selected, and the result you observed. That is more dependable than copying a route whose version, edition, or translation may differ from yours.
2. Do not assume every action has been saved
TechRadar reported inconsistent autosaves during its review and said it had to repeat steps after loading on some occasions. This is a reviewer-specific observation, not a guarantee that the current release has a universal save bug or a known fixed trigger.

Use a cautious routine:
- After a major investigation step or consequential choice, allow the scene to finish before closing the application.
- Avoid treating a short transition, menu return, or loading screen as proof that the latest action is permanently recorded.
- If you must stop immediately after an important event, plan for the possibility of repeating that section when you next load.
- When a reload puts you earlier than expected, retrace the last confirmed event rather than assuming the story branch has been lost permanently.
The point is not to claim that a manual-save function exists or to invent a save trigger. It is to keep your expectations realistic in light of the reported inconsistency.

Some puzzle mechanics were described as frustrating in review coverage. Read the available clues in full before trying random combinations, and change one assumption at a time when testing a solution. Random guessing can obscure which clue mattered and may force unnecessary backtracking.

A GamesRadar pre-release preview reported that certain puzzles could be made easier at the cost of corruption from cosmic influence. Because this was preview material, treat the mechanic as provisional: confirm what the live game actually offers, how corruption is measured, and what effects it has before choosing an easier route. Do not present that preview observation as a guaranteed exploit or as a universal rule for every puzzle.
5. Set combat expectations correctly
GamesRadar’s review describes exploration without monster attacks or jump scares in the portions it covered. The evidence therefore does not support a conventional combat-cheat guide built around weapons, enemy health, or boss phases. Prepare for observation, movement, and problem-solving.
