How to check whether your Windows PC meets the listing
Use the following checks before buying or installing. Since the game is unreleased, these steps establish only whether your hardware matches the published floor; they cannot predict a particular frame rate.
- Confirm the Windows edition and architecture. Open Settings > System > About. Under Windows specifications, check that you are running Windows 10 or a later compatible Windows installation. Under Device specifications, verify that System type says 64-bit operating system.
- Identify the processor. In the same About page, read the Processor field. You can also press
Ctrl+Shift+Esc, open Task Manager and select Performance > CPU. Compare the complete model name with the AMD A8-7600 or Intel Core i3-2105 shown in the listing. - Check installed memory. The About page reports installed RAM; Task Manager shows the same information under Performance > Memory. At least 4 GB is the published minimum. Windows and other running programs also consume memory, so a machine with only the minimum can have less headroom while playing.
- Find the active graphics processor. Open Task Manager > Performance and inspect each GPU entry. The DirectX Diagnostic Tool is another option: press
Windows+R, enterdxdiag, press Enter, then read the Display tab. Compare the model, not merely the amount of graphics memory, with Radeon R7 Graphics or Intel HD Graphics 3000. - Measure free storage. In File Explorer, right-click the drive where you plan to install Steam and choose Properties. The drive should have more than the listed 2 GB available so that Steam, Windows and future updates are not competing for the last few gigabytes.
What the minimum specifications do—and do not—tell you
They establish a compatibility target
A minimum list is a baseline for supported hardware, not a tiered performance chart. Meeting or exceeding the processor, graphics, memory and operating-system entries means your configuration aligns with the information currently published by the store page. It does not establish whether the game will use low, medium or high settings, nor whether a given display resolution will be supported at a particular frame rate.
They do not provide a benchmark
No independent benchmark, frame-rate measurement, review score or statistical study is published in the official material available for this title. It would therefore be misleading to convert the component names into an FPS claim. Performance can depend on the final build, resolution, effects, background applications, drivers and power settings, none of which are specified on the current page.

Integrated graphics are explicitly listed
Both named minimum graphics solutions are commonly found as integrated graphics rather than separate desktop cards. That is useful for owners of older office PCs and laptops, but it still does not guarantee that every system using an integrated GPU will behave the same way. Check the exact GPU model in Windows and wait for a released build or official testing before treating any performance expectation as confirmed.
Will Cup of Tales run on a low-end PC?
Possibly, if the computer meets the published baseline, but “low-end” is not precise enough to answer by itself. A machine with Windows 10 64-bit, a processor comparable to the listed AMD or Intel model, at least 4 GB of RAM, graphics comparable to one of the two named options and more than 2 GB free storage matches the current minimum specification on paper.

- The game has not been released for public installation, leaving no official build to test against.
- The store page does not specify a resolution, graphics preset, DirectX version, driver version or processor-generation comparison method.
- Two computers with the same nominal RAM can have different background workloads, thermal limits and storage conditions.
If your hardware is below one of the listed entries, the store page provides no supported answer. You may choose to wait for launch reports, but an unverified result should not be presented as guaranteed compatibility.

Steam currently labels the game’s Steam Deck compatibility as Unknown. Valve defines that category as: “Unknown — We haven’t checked this game for compatibility yet.” In practical terms, Valve has not issued an official Deck review for the title.
As a result, Cup of Tales is not officially marked Verified or Playable, and it is not officially marked Unsupported either. The Unknown label is an absence of a Valve assessment, not a positive or negative performance verdict.

What cannot be claimed yet
- There is no official statement that the game works on Steam Deck.
- There is no official Steam Deck frame-rate figure, battery-life estimate or graphics preset.
- There is no authoritative Proton test result establishing that the unreleased game starts, renders correctly or supports every control and display mode.
The Windows requirements alone cannot be converted into a Deck result. Steam Deck uses a different hardware and software environment, and the official pages currently provide no test outcome for it.
What Steam Deck owners should do
- Do not treat the store badge as a purchase guarantee. An Unknown badge means the compatibility check has not happened, so buying specifically for Deck play involves uncertainty.
- Watch the Steam listing after release. The relevant change would be a new Valve compatibility category or an official update to the store information. Until then, the status remains unverified.
- Check the return rules that apply to your purchase. If you decide to test the game after launch, understand the current Steam refund conditions before relying on a purchase as a compatibility trial.
- Separate community reports from official certification. Player reports can reveal useful patterns, but they do not replace Valve’s compatibility label and may reflect different SteamOS versions, settings or hardware conditions.
A Steam Deck owner who needs certainty should wait for an official assessment or a released build with consistent, trustworthy testing. The present evidence supports only the Unknown classification.

Release status and what may change
The title is listed as coming soon, so there is no installation package from the Steam page to use for a pre-release benchmark. The Windows figures in the table are the current published minimums, not a final guarantee that the requirements will remain unchanged at launch. A later store update could add recommended specifications, revise the operating-system line or provide a Deck category.

Until such an update appears, the most defensible assessment is straightforward: compare a Windows PC with the listed minimums, but do not promise a frame rate; and treat Steam Deck support as unresolved rather than assumed.
