Xbox presented Phantom Liberty as a spy-thriller expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. Its story begins after the NUSA president’s orbital shuttle is shot down over Night City, leading V into a plot involving espionage and political intrigue.

The Showcase recap highlighted Dogtown, a district central to the story, and sleeper agent Solomon Reed, played by Idris Elba. It also noted the return of Johnny Silverhand, reprised by Keanu Reeves. Xbox described the trailer as a glimpse into the expansion’s world of spies.
Can you play the expansion on Xbox One?
No. In its June 11, 2023 hands-on coverage, Xbox said an Xbox Series X|S console was required to buy and play Phantom Liberty on Xbox. The expansion was not an Xbox One release. Xbox also reported at that time that the Xbox One version of the base game had received its last patch in November 2022 and was no longer supported; that is publication-era information, not a current support-status check.
