Yes. Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is a native Mac release, not an upcoming project. CD PROJEKT RED launched it on July 17, 2025, for Apple-silicon Macs with at least 16 GB of unified memory running macOS 15.5 or later. It includes the complete base game, Phantom Liberty, and updates available at launch, including Update 2.3.
What the Mac version includes
This is a native Apple-silicon port using Apple’s Metal graphics technology, rather than a cloud-streaming client or a stripped-down companion application. CD PROJEKT RED describes the release as the complete Ultimate Edition.

Intel Macs are unsupported. An Apple-silicon Mac with only 8 GB of unified memory also falls below the requirement. “M1 or newer” alone is not sufficient: memory and macOS version matter too. The Mac App Store listing says to allow approximately 15% additional free space during downloading and installation.
The listing does not identify the game as compatible with iPhone or iPad.

Official performance targets
CD PROJEKT RED publishes configuration tiers rather than independent benchmark results. The figures below are developer targets, not guarantees; cooling, display resolution, graphics settings, background applications, thermal throttling and the exact GPU and memory configuration all affect results.

The game includes a For This Mac preset designed to choose an appropriate balance of image quality and performance. If performance is poor, lower resolution first, then test ray tracing and other demanding features individually instead of assuming that the chip name alone determines results.

The Mac release is distributed through the Mac App Store, Steam, GOG.com and the Epic Games Store. Prices and promotions vary by region and date, so check the current store listing before buying.

CD PROJEKT RED says owners of the PC version on Steam, GOG.com or Epic Games Store can download the Mac version without buying it again, provided they use the same storefront account on a compatible Mac. The Mac App Store is a separate purchase channel; an Apple purchase should not be assumed to recognize a Steam, GOG or Epic entitlement.
The announcement does not establish cross-buy from PlayStation or Xbox. It also does not, by itself, promise universal cross-save or cross-progression. Treat storefront entitlement and save synchronization as separate issues and consult CD PROJEKT RED’s support information if account syncing fails.

How to decide whether your Mac is suitable
Good fit
- Your Mac uses Apple silicon, has at least 16 GB unified memory and runs macOS 15.5 or later.
- You have enough SSD capacity for the storefront’s download plus temporary installation space.
- You value a native, portable Mac version and accept that higher visual settings require stronger configurations.
- You already own the game on Steam, GOG or Epic and can sign in to that same account.
Look at another platform instead
- Your Mac is Intel-based or has only 8 GB unified memory.
- You cannot upgrade to macOS 15.5.
- You want maximum ray-tracing performance at high resolution.
- You expect a PlayStation or Xbox purchase to provide automatic Mac access.
- You cannot free roughly 100–180 GB for downloading and installation.
Storage: why the numbers differ
There is no single universal download figure. CDPR lists 92 GB for Steam, GOG.com and Epic Games Store, while Apple lists 159 GB for the Mac App Store version when all voiceovers are included. Installation also needs temporary working space; Apple recommends approximately 15% extra. The difference reflects storefront packaging and voiceover content, not contradictory minimum requirements.
Troubleshooting common problems
The game is missing from your library
- Sign in to the same Steam, GOG or Epic account that owns the PC version.
- Confirm the Mac has Apple silicon, at least 16 GB unified memory and macOS 15.5 or later.
- Update the storefront application, restart it and refresh the library.
- If the entitlement still does not appear, contact the relevant storefront or CD PROJEKT RED support.
The game launches but runs poorly
- Start with the For This Mac preset.
- Reduce output resolution before disabling every visual feature.
- Test ray tracing separately, since support and performance vary by chip.
- Close background applications and watch for laptop heat-related throttling.
- Remember that the minimum tier targets approximately 30 FPS at lower resolutions; meeting the minimum is not a 60-FPS guarantee.
You are expecting a Mac-only edition
This is a platform port of the existing Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, not a sequel, remake or Mac-exclusive campaign.
Bottom line
Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is already available as a substantial native Mac release. It is a sensible option for owners of a 16 GB-or-better Apple-silicon Mac who want portability, especially if they already own the game on Steam, GOG or Epic. Intel Macs, 8 GB Apple-silicon models and buyers seeking the highest ray-traced settings should choose another platform or a more capable machine.
