The destination is Water Treatment Control on Dam Battlegrounds. The door is on the first floor in the building’s southwestern hallway. A practical landmark is the south-side entrance beneath the exterior blue stairs. These landmarks come from player guides rather than an official developer map, so interior layouts may change after updates.
Route to the locked room
- Approach Water Treatment Control from the south side of Dam Battlegrounds.
- Find the entrance beneath the exterior blue stairs.
- Go inside and take the first right.
- Continue past the alarm gate, then turn right again.
- Follow the hallway to its end and use the Dam Surveillance Key on the locked door in the corner.
Shacknews describes the same destination as the southwestern hallway of Water Treatment Control. If a doorway or corridor does not match these landmarks, recheck that you are in Water Treatment Control and not another Dam facility.
How the key fits Greasing Her Palms
Celeste reportedly gives the Dam Surveillance Key when you accept Greasing Her Palms. Entering the Water Treatment Control room completes the quest’s first Dam objective, according to GameSpot’s walkthrough. Quest rewards and access behavior can change with patches, so check the objective text in your current build if the key is not in your inventory.
