Which platforms carry the Remastered edition?
Bandai Namco’s official listing names PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch for Dark Souls: Remastered. The platform list identifies the versions associated with the product, but it does not guarantee that every version is currently in stock or listed in every country.
Storefront catalogs change. A digital page can disappear temporarily, a physical edition can become difficult to find, and regional product pages can describe the same package differently. The official platform list includes Xbox One. Check whether the listing is for Remastered, a legacy edition, or a collection, and confirm the included content in the regional store.
PC
Steam’s product description identifies the expansion as included with Remastered. Confirm that the page you are purchasing is for Remastered rather than an older catalog entry, since the edition name is what determines the bundle described here.
Nintendo Switch
Nintendo Switch is also named in the official publisher listing. Regional availability and physical stock are separate questions from whether the Remastered package contains the expansion, so check both.

Do you need to buy Artorias of the Abyss separately?

Remastered is not just a visual label for this question
For DLC ownership, the edition name matters because Remastered is explicitly sold with the expansion. Treating every release as interchangeable can lead to an incorrect assumption about what your purchase includes.
A Trilogy listing is not the same as a single-game purchase
The Trilogy includes the first game and its expansion, but it also contains the other two numbered games and their listed add-ons. Choose it for the wider collection, not because the first game’s DLC requires a trilogy purchase.
Availability is not permanent

No accessory, repair tool, consumable, or separate service is required simply to access the DLC in a package that includes it. The practical requirement is ownership of a compatible edition and platform, followed by the normal installation or download process for that store.
Which purchase makes sense?
Choose Remastered if you want only the first game
Remastered is the focused choice for a player whose goal is the original Dark Souls with Artorias of the Abyss. Its official description resolves the DLC question in one package, subject to your platform and region.
Choose Trilogy if you want the complete numbered series
The Trilogy makes sense when you also want Dark Souls II and Dark Souls III. Its listed contents include the first game’s expansion plus the named add-ons associated with the other two games.
Check your existing copy before replacing it
