The Warmastered Edition store page also identifies the Blades & Whip bundle, which contains Warmastered Edition, Deathinitive Edition and Darksiders III Deluxe Edition. System requirements are published separately for each executable. A PC that meets one game’s minimum does not automatically meet the requirements of the others, so use the most demanding title—Darksiders III—as your hardware baseline if you intend to play the entire collection.

These are the publisher’s listed Windows specifications, not a promise of a particular frame rate, resolution, graphics preset or loading time. The listings stop at Windows 10, so they do not establish official Windows 11 support. A modern system may run the games successfully, but the table is the evidence-based compatibility floor and target rather than a performance benchmark.
How demanding is each Darksiders game?
Darksiders Warmastered Edition
Warmastered’s minimum is comparatively modest: a dual-core processor, 4 GB of memory and a DirectX 10-level AMD or NVIDIA card with 1 GB of VRAM. The listing also calls for DirectX 11. The recommended configuration doubles memory to 8 GB, moves to a quad-core CPU and specifies a DirectX 11-level GPU with 1 GB of VRAM.

Its 36 GB requirement is the largest of the four. That figure is especially important on a small SSD or a Steam Deck’s internal drive. Keep additional free space beyond the listed number for Steam’s download, unpacking and update process; the store figure is an install requirement, not a guaranteed total for every future patch.
Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition
Deathinitive Edition has the lowest graphics floor in the collection on paper. The minimum card is a GeForce 9800 GT with 512 MB of VRAM or an equivalent model, paired with a Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz-class processor and 4 GB of RAM. Its minimum operating-system list is unusually old—64-bit Windows XP, Vista SP1, 7, 8 or 10—while the recommended target is a quad-core AMD or Intel CPU, 8 GB of RAM and a GTX 260-class 512 MB card.
At 13 GB, it is also the smallest installation. The age of the listed operating systems does not mean those versions are advisable or secure today; it simply reflects the Windows versions named on the Steam requirements page.

Darksiders III
Darksiders III is the collection’s highest PC hurdle. It requires 8 GB of RAM at minimum, compared with 4 GB for Warmastered, Deathinitive Edition and Genesis. Its minimum processor is an FX-8320 at 3.5 GHz or an Intel i5-4690K at 3.5 GHz, and its graphics floor is a GTX 660 or Radeon R7 370 with 2 GB of VRAM. The requirement is DirectX 11 on 64-bit Windows 7, 8 or 10.
The recommended target rises to 16 GB of RAM, an i7-3930K or Ryzen 5 1600, and a Radeon RX 480 or GeForce GTX 970 with 4 GB of VRAM. If your computer is being chosen specifically for the complete collection, this is the row to satisfy first. Steam describes the game as an action adventure in which Fury hunts the Seven Deadly Sins; that newer, more demanding entry is not an indication that the earlier games require the same hardware.
Darksiders Genesis
Genesis shares Darksiders III’s minimum CPU models—FX-8320 3.5 GHz or i5-4690K 3.5 GHz—and requires DirectX 11, but its memory floor is only 4 GB and its listed minimum GPU is a GTX 960. Recommended specifications are an i7-3930K or Ryzen 5 1600, 8 GB of RAM and a GTX 1060.

The 15 GB storage requirement falls between Deathinitive Edition and Darksiders III. Steam’s description positions Genesis before the events of the original game, but its lower memory requirement does not make it interchangeable with the older titles’ complete hardware profiles.
How much storage does the full collection need?
Adding the four listed Steam requirements gives 89 GB: 36 GB for Warmastered, 13 GB for Deathinitive Edition, 25 GB for Darksiders III and 15 GB for Genesis. That is a planning total based on the 2026 store listings. It does not include the space Steam may use temporarily while downloading or updating, nor does it establish the size of digital extras in every bundle configuration.

On a Steam Deck, check whether the games are being installed to the internal SSD or a microSD card before starting the bundle download. If you install only one title at a time, you can avoid reserving the full 89 GB, but leave room for Steam’s staging and update operations.

Can your Windows PC run the collection?
Use this order when checking a desktop or laptop:
- Identify the limiting game. For the whole collection, compare your system against Darksiders III’s 8 GB RAM minimum, 2 GB VRAM minimum and listed FX-8320/i5-4690K-class CPU. If your system falls below that row, it may still run other games, but it does not meet the published collection-wide floor.
- Check memory. Four gigabytes is enough only for the minimum listings of Warmastered, Deathinitive Edition and Genesis. Darksiders III needs 8 GB minimum and 16 GB recommended.
- Check the graphics card and VRAM. Match the exact class named for the game you want to play. Integrated graphics are not identified as equivalent in the listings, so the requirements do not establish support for a particular integrated GPU.
- Confirm 64-bit Windows where specified. Deathinitive Edition, Darksiders III and Genesis list 64-bit Windows. Warmastered’s listing names Windows 7/8/10 without the same explicit 64-bit wording.
- Reserve disk space. Plan for 89 GB for all four listed installations, plus working room for Steam downloads and updates.
- Set expectations correctly. Minimum specifications indicate that the game can meet its basic launch target under the publisher’s assumptions. They do not tell you whether a specific preset will hold 60 frames per second or what resolution a laptop GPU will sustain.

Valve explains that Steam Deck games receive compatibility categories that appear in the library or store. Those labels can change as updates and testing information change. A Verified label is not the same thing as a universal performance guarantee, and the official material reviewed here does not specify one Proton version or one launch configuration that applies to all four games.
Which Darksiders game is hardest to run on Steam Deck?
There is no dated independent Steam Deck benchmark or official frame-rate statistic in the available material, so a definitive performance ranking cannot be claimed. From the Windows requirements alone, Darksiders III is the strongest candidate for the highest hardware demand: it has the highest minimum RAM requirement, the largest minimum VRAM requirement and the highest recommended memory target.
