Date Everything! was delayed from February 14, 2025, to June 2025 so its developers could test the game’s extensive branching content and fix remaining glitches. It ultimately launched on June 17, 2025, according to its US PlayStation Store and Steam listings.
Why was Date Everything! delayed?
In a development update published January 30, 2025, publisher Team17 announced that the game would move from its planned February 14 release to June. Lead designer Ray Chase said the team had underestimated how long it would take to test the many story paths and clear the remaining bugs. Although the game had reached the artistic standard the team wanted, quality assurance was still working through its complex branching content.
Chase said releasing with unresolved issues would let players down: “To submit our game in the state with so many outstanding glitches would be doing you a disservice.” The update framed the delay as time needed for testing and polish, not a change to the game’s premise. Team17’s January 30 update also listed the scale of the project: 1,602,572 words, 74,053 voiced lines, 27,924 choices, 13,090 images, and 5 hours and 6 minutes of soundtrack. These are figures reported by the publisher, not independently audited measurements.
When did Date Everything! come out?
The delay announcement gave a month rather than a specific day. The US PlayStation Store and Steam later listed June 17, 2025, as the release date. The Steam listing names Sassy Chap Games as developer and Team17 as publisher; the US PlayStation Store listing identifies Team17 Software Ltd. as publisher for PS5. Those listings establish the date for those storefronts; they do not establish a complete release calendar for every region or platform.

What is Date Everything! about?
Date Everything! is a sandbox dating simulator. The player receives magical glasses called Dateviators, which bring household objects to life and make them possible romantic partners. The PlayStation Store describes 100 datable characters, full voice acting, branching narratives, and at least three endings per character. Steam also describes 100 fully voice-acted characters.
Is Date Everything! getting a physical release?
Nintendo Everything reported on April 10, 2025, that the game would be available digitally first and that a physical edition was planned for summer retail availability. That report establishes an announced physical format, but it does not confirm current stock, retailers, pricing, or availability in any particular region. Check a retailer’s current listing before relying on the physical edition being available. Nintendo Everything’s report also gave rounded promotional production counts; Team17’s more precise figures above are the publisher’s own counts.

The cited official listings confirm digital versions on Steam and PS5.
