Dead by Daylight has announced three very different crossovers: Stranger Things Chapter 2 adds playable characters, Jason is the subject of a dedicated Killer chapter, and Diablo was announced as an upcoming cosmetic Collection. The distinction matters: the Diablo announcement does not confirm a new Killer or Survivor.
At a glance: the three collaborations
| Collaboration | Format | Announced timing | What is named | Status in official sources |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stranger Things Chapter 2 | Playable chapter | Announced January 6, 2026; chapter date January 27, 2026 | Vecna, Dustin Henderson and Eleven | Behaviour’s chapter listing gives January 27, 2026 as the chapter date. (official chapter listing) |
| Jason | Dedicated Killer chapter | Announced May 26, 2026, with a stated release date of June 16, 2026 | Jason; three outfits were previewed | Behaviour and Steam list June 16, 2026. The cited listings establish the announced date, not current availability on every platform. (Behaviour announcement; Steam DLC listing) |
| Diablo | Collection, not a character chapter | Announced June 15, 2026, for October 2026 | Specific characters and items were not identified | The anniversary recap gives October 2026 as the plan, but does not specify a day or establish whether it launched on schedule. (anniversary recap) |
The dates and content above describe what Behaviour Interactive announced or listed. As of October 3, 2026, the cited sources do not establish the Diablo Collection’s launch outcome.
Stranger Things Chapter 2 adds Vecna, Dustin and Eleven
Behaviour announced the second Stranger Things chapter on January 6, 2026, naming Vecna—also known as Henry Creel—as its Killer, with Dustin Henderson and Eleven as Survivors. The official chapter listing gives January 27, 2026 as the chapter date. (announcement; chapter listing)
This is a separate chapter from the first Stranger Things release in 2019, which brought The Demogorgon, Steve Harrington and Nancy Wheeler to the game. The 2026 announcement therefore adds three named playable characters to the crossover rather than merely revisiting the original lineup.

Jason was announced for a dedicated Killer chapter
On May 26, 2026, Behaviour introduced Jason as the focus of a chapter titled Dead by Daylight: Jason and announced June 16, 2026 as its release date. Steam’s DLC listing also gives June 16. Because the date has passed, these sources support the announced schedule; they do not, by themselves, confirm present availability on every platform. (Behaviour announcement; Steam DLC listing)
Behaviour’s preview describes a Killer who can move around the map by teleporting, track Survivors through their footsteps, use throwable projectiles or hooks, and make a jump-scare attack capable of breaking objects. The announcement also previews three outfits: Backwoods Terror, Death Forsaken and Depths of Despair. These are details from the chapter announcement, not confirmation of additional playable characters.

Diablo was announced as an October Collection
Behaviour’s June 15, 2026 tenth-anniversary recap announced “A Diablo Collection” for October 2026 and described it as bringing new demonic forces to The Fog. It announced a Collection, not a Diablo Killer or Survivor chapter. (anniversary recap)
The recap does not name the characters or cosmetics, give an exact October release day or price, or say whether the Collection is standalone or tied to a larger update. It also does not establish the launch outcome. Those details should not be inferred from the crossover announcement.

How these crossovers fit the game’s roster
In a May 14, 2026 anniversary retrospective, Behaviour reported 51 Survivors—or 52 counting Baermar—and 41 Killers, excluding Legendary Outfit variations. This is a dated roster snapshot, not a count of the three collaborations alone. (Behaviour’s anniversary retrospective)
The announced content formats explain why the three crossovers are not equivalent roster additions: the Stranger Things and Jason announcements concern playable character chapters, while the Diablo announcement concerns a cosmetic Collection. For platform-specific purchase or availability information, check the relevant platform’s current listing; the cited announcements do not verify live availability across storefronts.
