That role description is an interpretation of her abilities, not an official or settled competitive classification. Baba became playable in the October 6, 2026 update, so her mechanics and stats should be treated as version-specific.
What are Baba’s abilities?
Baba’s four abilities are Threadsap, Granny Long Legs, Baba’s Brew, and Feed The Birds. Her ability descriptions are documented in the current Threadsap, Granny Long Legs, Baba’s Brew, and Feed The Birds references.
1 — Threadsap
Baba sends out a thread that follows her crosshair and bursts along its path, dealing Spirit damage and stealing enemy Spirit. While she holds stolen Spirit, her bullets deal bonus Spirit damage. The documented upgrades include cooldown reduction and a longer debuff; the top upgrade adds a charge and pulls enemies on hit.
Use Threadsap as the start of a follow-up: connect with the line, then take advantage of the temporary bullet damage. Its pull can help create pressure after a hit, but it does not replace the need to land the ability.

2 — Granny Long Legs
Baba’s bench legs extend, giving her movement speed, higher jumps, and resistance to debuffs and melee attacks. A light melee kick knocks enemies back. A heavy melee ground-pound knocks enemies up, slows them, and deals Spirit damage. Crouching charges a high jump.
This ability supports both repositioning and close-range disruption. The movement and jump help her enter or leave a fight, while the melee effects can interfere with opponents who get too close.

3 — Baba’s Brew
Baba brews and throws a pot that applies an area effect. Its effect cycles among a combat barrier, silence, and a burn that deals Spirit damage over time and reduces Spirit resistance. She can pause or resume brewing; the effects are part of a cycle, not freely selectable options.
Watch the cycle and pause when the effect you need is ready. A barrier can support defense, while silence or burn can serve an offensive moment; the right timing depends on the immediate fight.

4 — Feed The Birds (ultimate)
Baba channels bread onto targets in front of her, applying stacking slow. When the channel ends, pigeons bombard the target, deal Spirit damage, and hex it into a pigeon. More bread increases both the damage and hex duration.
The channel creates a control window: build stacks, then time its end to apply the bombardment and hex. The documented description does not establish guaranteed kills or that the ability targets an entire team.

What kind of hero is Baba?
Baba’s mechanics point to a utility-focused skirmisher with Spirit scaling and several forms of control. Threadsap links an ability hit to stronger bullets; Granny Long Legs adds mobility and melee disruption; Baba’s Brew provides a cycling area effect; and Feed The Birds sets up a slow followed by a hex. “Control-oriented Spirit skirmisher” is a practical summary of that kit, not a confirmed official role label.
These mechanics alone do not establish a best lane, ideal build, win rate, or competitive tier. Baba became playable in October 2026, and the available information does not show a settled long-term performance pattern.

How should you approach Baba’s playstyle?
- Convert ability hits into follow-up: Threadsap’s bullet bonus rewards landing its line and acting while the stolen Spirit is held.
- Use mobility with a purpose: Granny Long Legs can help Baba reposition, jump into or out of a fight, or disrupt nearby enemies with a kick or ground-pound.
- Time the brew rather than assuming a choice: Its area effect cycles, so track the current effect and pause brewing when the desired one is available.
- Plan around the ultimate’s sequence: Feed The Birds applies slow while channeling, then deals damage and hexes when the channel ends. Its effect scales with bread count.
What are Baba’s current base stats?
Deadlock Labs’ 2026 hero reference lists 780 starting health, 2.5 health regeneration per second, and 2 stamina for Baba: Deadlock Labs’ Baba reference. These are a dated snapshot, not permanent values; live-game balance updates can change them.
