For game trailers and developer footage, start with YouTube Gaming or a game’s official channel; for a scheduled showcase, use the event’s official viewing guide. Editorial video libraries such as GameSpot add previews, interviews and analysis, but their videos should not be mistaken for developer statements.
Where to find game trailers and footage
YouTube Gaming and game pages
YouTube’s Gaming destination brings together trending gaming videos, top live streams, live games and videos from channels you subscribe to. For a particular title, YouTube may also have an automatically generated game page collecting popular videos and livestreams, with links to other games from the same publisher or developer.
These pages are algorithmic collections, not editorial recommendations, and a page may not appear for every game. Check the uploader and channel when you need to know whether a trailer or clip is an official upload.
Official developer, publisher and platform channels
For footage presented by the people making a game, look for the developer or publisher’s official channel and the platform holder’s showcase feed. A show’s official guide is the reliable place to find its current viewing links and details. For example, Xbox’s June 2026 showcase guide listed YouTube, Twitch and Facebook, regional Xbox and Bethesda channels, Steam, Bilibili for China, and Amazon Live and Prime Video on Fire TV for viewers in the United States. Those options applied to that event; they are not a standing list for future broadcasts.

Editorial video libraries
GameSpot’s video library includes official trailers alongside previews, reviews, interviews, guides and gameplay breakdowns. It can provide context around a game, but an editorial video is not a developer statement unless it is explicitly an official upload or developer presentation.
How to choose the right source
- For an official trailer: Check the game’s developer or publisher channel, or the platform holder’s official showcase feed.
- For a live showcase: Open that event’s official guide and use its listed stream link. Check the page for a replay or video-on-demand if you cannot watch live.
- For developer explanations: Look for a developer-led presentation rather than a trailer compilation or third-party breakdown. Xbox described its January 2026 Developer_Direct as featuring gameplay and insights presented by the creators and recorded in their studios.
- For commentary and interpretation: Use an editorial library, while keeping its analysis distinct from official footage or claims.
Check access, language and replay details for each event
Streaming services, regional feeds, captions and other access options can differ by show. Xbox’s January and June 2026 event guides listed different combinations of channels, languages and accessibility features, including captions, sign-language streams and audio-described versions. Check the particular guide for the options it actually lists, as well as whether a replay is available; one event’s offerings do not establish what another will provide.
