What is Death Trick: Double Blind?
Set at Morgan’s Traveling Circus, the story starts when Hattie, its star magician, disappears. Steam describes the game as a non-linear detective visual novel. You investigate through two protagonists: a fellow magician and a private eye dealing with amnesia. They have different information about the case, making the shift between viewpoints part of the investigation rather than just a change in narration. Steam’s store listing and Nintendo UK’s game page both describe the missing-magician mystery and the contrasting perspectives.
What is the gameplay like?
The central detective task is to talk with circus performers, investigate locations, collect evidence, and use contradictions in different accounts to question what characters say. The design asks you to compare information across the two protagonists and decide which leads deserve attention.

The game’s appeal is most likely to hinge on its particular investigation loop: two protagonists, limited actions, and contradictions to uncover. If those mechanics sound engaging, the Steam reception is a useful positive signal; if you want free-roaming investigation or deductions that are always explicit, look for individual reviews that discuss those details before buying.

In other words, a physical Switch edition is listed by a retailer, while Nintendo UK’s own listing is for a download. Do not assume every regional Switch offer or every retailer has the physical copy. Is Death Trick: Double Blind worth it?
It looks like a good fit for players who want a character-driven mystery where the investigation depends on comparing what two people know and using evidence to expose inconsistencies. Its limited-action structure may be a drawback if you want to examine every lead at your own pace. The Steam user-review snapshot is encouraging, but the best buying decision depends on whether that constrained, perspective-swapping approach appeals to you.
