4. Verify the demo’s files through Steam
- Open Library in Steam.
- Right-click the Deep Siren demo and select Properties.

If verification found nothing
Move to Windows and driver updates, then the conflict test. An unchanged verification result means Steam did not find a damaged or missing file; it does not rule out a driver, operating-system, permission or background-software problem.
If a black screen appears first
Wait long enough to distinguish a slow first start from an immediate exit, but do not leave a visibly frozen process running indefinitely. - The exact point of failure: Steam client, “Preparing to Launch,” black screen, window flash or immediate desktop return.
