There is no single best weapon in Delta Force. The right choice depends on whether you are playing Warfare, Operations, Black Hawk Down or (for balance purposes) Detonation, plus your platform, range, role and current patch. Use Gunsmith to build for that situation, match ammunition to enemy armor, and treat sound cues as information that opponents receive too.
This walkthrough explains the weapon systems, gives a practical loadout process, and records the October 2026 balance changes with their exact mode and platform limits.

Start with the mode, not the gun
Delta Force has distinct experiences in Warfare, Operations and Black Hawk Down. The official Garena overview presents Warfare as the large-scale combat mode, Operations as a loot-and-extract mode, and Black Hawk Down as a campaign-style experience. Weapon advice does not transfer automatically between them. A rifle that is comfortable in a long sightline may be awkward in a close-quarters extraction run, while a balance change can apply only to Operations, mobile clients or Detonation.
Warfare
Warfare rewards repeatable gunfights, objective pressure and weapons that remain controllable over the ranges on a particular map. Magazine capacity, recoil recovery and the ability to switch between close and medium range generally matter more than extraction value because a death does not remove a backpack of loot.
#1 Best Overall
Operations
Operations combines looting, tactical movement and extraction. Items carried out are kept; dying loses carried items except anything placed in the safe box. That risk changes weapon selection: a dependable, affordable setup can be preferable to an expensive build when you are learning a route, and a quiet approach can be more valuable than maximum damage.
Black Hawk Down and Detonation
Black Hawk Down has its own scenario and encounter flow. Detonation is a separate competitive context in the October 1, 2026 notes. Never apply a Detonation multiplier to every mode unless a later note explicitly does so.
Which weapons are available?
The official weapon overview gives examples rather than a complete or ranked roster:
Recommended Free Tools
| Weapon | Officially described example | Likely decision it represents |
|---|---|---|
| M7 Battle Rifle | Modern rifle using 6.8x51mm full-power ammunition | Power and reach, with a requirement for recoil control |
| Vector Submachine Gun | Submachine-gun example | Fast close-range engagements and aggressive movement |
| M870 Shotgun | Shotgun example | Close-quarters burst damage and careful positioning |
| PKM General Machine Gun | General-machine-gun example | Sustained fire and lane control |
| SR-25 | Precision-rifle example | Deliberate semi-automatic fire at medium or long range |
| AWM Sniper Rifle | Sniper-rifle example | Long-range precision where missed shots are costly |
This list is not a tier list. The official page does not establish a universal winner, and a weapon’s value changes with attachments, ammunition, map, squad job, input device and patch.

How do I customize or import a weapon loadout?
Garena’s Operations Mode 101 guide says, “One of the best parts about Delta Force is that you can customise your gun to exactly your playstyle.” Use that flexibility to solve a specific problem rather than copying a code blindly.
- Open Loadout. Select the weapon slot you intend to take into the mode you are playing.
- Enter Gunsmith. Adjust the parts that affect the way you actually fight: sight picture, magazine, muzzle, grip, stock and other available attachments.
- Test the handling. Fire at the ranges you expect to use. Check recoil while standing, crouched and moving, then confirm that the sight and magazine still suit the role.
- Save a mode-specific version. Keep separate close-range, general-purpose and long-range builds instead of forcing one setup into every map.
- Import a ready-made code when useful. In the Loadouts menu, choose Import and paste the code supplied for your client version.
Codes are version-specific. Garena codes work only in the Garena version, so a code from another regional client may fail or produce a different result. If Import rejects a code, confirm the client, check every character, and ask for a code made for the same game version before changing attachments manually.
A practical Gunsmith checklist
- Choose a sight that matches your expected engagement distance.
- Use a magazine size that covers your role without making reloads or handling unmanageable.
- Prioritize controllability if your shots regularly miss after the first round.
- Keep one low-cost Operations build for learning routes and recovering after a failed extraction.
- Record the ammunition type with the build; changing ammo can alter time to kill and recoil behavior.
How do ammunition and armor interact?
Delta Force separates flesh damage from armor penetration. Flesh damage affects health. Armor penetration damages armor durability. Ammunition tier and the target’s armor therefore change how many rounds are needed, even when the weapon and hit location are unchanged.
The KC-17 example
Garena’s guide gives a specific illustration using a KC-17 and level 1 ammunition. It lists base flesh damage as 34; against a level 1 vest, the example says health damage is reduced to 17 per round. Against a level 2 vest, the guide says health damage does not begin until that armor is destroyed. These are the guide’s example values, not a universal formula for every gun, ammunition tier or current patch.
How to apply the rule in a match
- Identify the ammunition tier you loaded before deploying.
- Assume an armored opponent may require armor-breaking hits before full flesh damage appears.
- Do not judge a weapon by a single unarmored target dummy or a base-damage number alone.
- Carry enough ammunition for the armor level and fight length you expect; in Operations, balance that need against backpack space and replacement cost.
- If a patch changes penetration, armor multipliers or damage, retest the build before relying on an old time-to-kill habit.
What changed in the latest weapon update?
The latest dated notes in the supplied official material are Garena Delta Force Team’s “Update – Oct 9”, published October 12, 2026. They contain changes with limited scope:
| Change | Scope | Practical implication |
|---|---|---|
| K437 Assault Rifle limb-damage multiplier changed from 0.4x to 0.3x | Operations | Limb hits deal less damage in Operations; do not assume the same change applies to Warfare. |
| QJB201 recoil increased | Mobile versions | Mobile users may need a new Gunsmith setup or more deliberate burst control. |
| M14 recoil decreased | Mobile versions | The M14 may be easier to control on mobile after this note; verify the feel in your client. |
The same update announced seasonal ammunition available from October 10 through October 16, 2026. That window has ended, so these rounds should not be treated as permanent inventory.
| Round | Officially stated properties | How to read the note |
|---|---|---|
| 7.62 x 51mm LS | Level 5 penetration; muzzle velocity increased by 40%; armor-damage multiplier 0.2x; vertical recoil increased by 8% | High penetration and faster velocity came with an explicit recoil increase and the stated armor multiplier during the event. |
| 5.7 x 28mm HT | Level 3 penetration; base-damage multiplier 1.2x; armor-damage multiplier 0.2x | The listed multipliers were event ammunition properties, not a permanent baseline for all 5.7 x 28mm rounds. |
Because the ammunition was seasonal, preserve the date and event context when comparing old clips, screenshots or loadout advice.
October 1 Detonation changes
Garena’s October 1, 2026 update lists a separate FS-12 Shotgun adjustment for Detonation:
Rank #4
- Limb-damage multiplier: 0.6 to 0.4.
- Abdomen multiplier: 1.0 to 0.9.
- Damage-falloff multipliers: 0.9/0.8 to 0.8/0.7.
Those values belong to Detonation. They are not evidence that the FS-12 behaves identically in Warfare or Operations.
What are the best weapons in Delta Force?
Official materials do not establish a current, cross-mode “best weapon.” A responsible recommendation must name at least the mode, platform, range, role and patch. For example, a close-range Operations player may value the Vector’s handling, while a player holding a long lane may prefer the SR-25 or AWM; neither statement makes that firearm universally superior.
Use this decision framework
| Your situation | Prioritize | Questions to ask before deployment |
|---|---|---|
| Close indoor fights | Fast handling, quick follow-up shots, usable hip-fire or short sight picture | Can I win the first second of the fight, and can I reload safely? |
| Mixed-range objective play | Controllable recoil, flexible optic and adequate magazine | Can this build transition from a room to a street without a full rebuild? |
| Long sightlines | Precision, velocity, stable aim and a backup plan for rushed enemies | What do I do when the target closes the distance? |
| Operations extraction run | Reliability, ammunition economy and a replacement cost you can accept | Would losing this kit jeopardize the next run? |
| Mobile play | Recoil and touch-control comfort | Did a mobile-only balance note change this weapon’s behavior? |
A community-maintained 2026 base-weapon-stat table reports default values without attachments or tuning and uses Warfare values where applicable. It is not an official source and does not substantiate a current cross-mode ranking. If you consult it, treat every number as a starting point, verify it in your own client, and check the date and mode before drawing a conclusion.

Audio can reveal direction and approximate distance before a visual contact. Garena’s beginner guide identifies red sound waves as gunfire and white sound waves as footsteps; larger waves indicate a closer source. The guide’s most important warning is: “If you can hear the enemy, the enemy can hear you too.”
Best Value
- Windows NT/95/98
- Classify the cue. Red suggests gunfire; white suggests footsteps.
- Read the wave size. Treat a larger wave as a nearer threat, not as an exact range measurement.
- Stop making unnecessary noise. Sprinting, reloading or firing may reveal your position while you are trying to locate someone else.
- Triangulate. Turn slowly, compare the cue with doors, stairs, windows and likely routes, and avoid charging directly at the first indication.
- Confirm visually before committing. Audio gives a lead; cover and line-of-sight checks keep that lead from becoming an ambush.
In Operations, sound discipline is especially valuable because an avoidable fight can cost the items you are carrying. In a squad, tell teammates whether you heard gunfire or footsteps and whether the cue seemed near or distant, rather than reporting an unconfirmed enemy location as fact.
Common weapon and loadout mistakes
Copying a code across regional clients
A code made for the Garena version is not guaranteed to work elsewhere. Import only codes intended for your client and version.
Comparing damage without armor context
A base flesh-damage number can mislead when the opponent’s armor, ammunition penetration and hit location differ. Use the complete interaction, not one stat.

Applying a mode-limited patch globally
The K437 note is Operations-specific, the QJB201 and M14 recoil notes are mobile-specific, and the FS-12 note is Detonation-specific. Label every build with its mode and platform.
Overvaluing a community table
Default values without attachments do not predict your tuned build, and Warfare values do not automatically describe Operations. Verify behavior in-game.
Ignoring the cost of failure
In Operations, a technically powerful weapon can be the wrong choice if losing it prevents you from funding another run. Keep a practical recovery loadout.
A repeatable pre-deployment checklist
- Confirm the mode, map and platform.
- Check whether a recent note changed the weapon, ammunition or recoil for that exact context.
- Select a Gunsmith build for the expected range and role.
- Load ammunition whose penetration matches the armor you expect to face.
- Check magazine count, spare ammunition and backpack space.
- In Operations, move valuable items into the safe box when appropriate.
- Before entering a fight, listen for red gunfire waves and white footstep waves, remembering that your own noise is also information.
What the official evidence does—and does not—show
The official guides provide mechanics, examples and dated balance values, not an independently measured player-performance ranking. No named population statistic establishes that one firearm wins more fights than every other firearm. Use the documented rules to form a testable choice, then confirm recoil, sight picture and ammunition behavior in your current client.
