Deltarune Chapter 5 is available now. Steam lists its release date as June 24, 2026, and the official Deltarune site says Chapters 1–5 can be played, with additional chapters planned as free updates. The reliable way to approach Chapter 5 is to separate the normal story route from optional secret-boss hunting.
This guide gives you the confirmed route landmarks, a preparation plan, spoiler boundaries, and a checklist for the chapter’s known optional objectives. The available public descriptions do not establish exact room-by-room puzzle inputs, boss attack patterns, or every prerequisite, so those details are identified rather than guessed.

What Chapter 5 includes
Deltarune is structured as a chapter-based adventure. Its battles combine traditional commands with bullet-dodging, and encounters can often be handled through fighting or sparing. Chapter 5 continues that format rather than replacing it with a separate game mode.

The chapter is large enough to divide into two different goals:
#1 Best Overall
- Cute and cuddly Lancer plush figure toy stuffed animal soft doll
- Material: Made of high-quality PP cotton, fine sewing technology
- Size: about 25cm / 10'' Height
- The doll can decorate your home, room, sofa, cars and chairs and so on
- Great gift for family, friends, child, birthday, thanksgiving, christmas, halloween, New Year and other holiday gifts
- Normal completion: follow the story from Hometown through Flower Kingdom and continue to the ending.
- Optional completion: investigate the Pink Coins, the Mystery Key in the Cliffs, and the Pink Door at the top of the castle, which are associated with secret-boss content.
Finish the story first if you want to avoid turning every room into a hunt. If you are collecting optional items on the first pass, keep a written checklist and make separate saves before major transitions.
Before you enter Chapter 5
Confirm that the chapter is installed
Steam records Chapter 5 as released on June 24, 2026. The official site currently presents Chapters 1–5 as available. If the chapter is missing from your installation, update the game and verify that your platform is using the current build before troubleshooting an in-game gate or puzzle.
Keep more than one save
Use at least two rotating save files: one for ordinary progress and one before entering a new major area, beginning a trial, or climbing toward the castle’s upper sections. A separate file is especially useful if you are testing a secret-boss requirement. It lets you continue the story without losing the opportunity to revisit an optional objective.
Decide how much you want spoiled
The main route and secret-boss route are treated separately below. Read through the normal-route headings first if you only want to reach the ending. The optional section names its known items and locations explicitly, so skip it until you are ready for that information.
Prepare for mixed exploration and combat
Carry your best available healing items, check equipment before leaving a safe area, and spend a few encounters learning the bullet patterns rather than rushing through them. Because Deltarune allows fight-or-spare decisions, leave enough resources to attempt nonviolent actions more than once when an encounter gives you that choice.
The confirmed normal route at a glance
| Stage | What is established | How to use that information |
|---|---|---|
| Hometown | The chapter begins from the familiar Hometown setting. | Use it as your preparation and orientation point. Make a save before committing to the next area. |
| Flower Kingdom | A current walkthrough summary places Flower Kingdom on the normal route. | Expect exploration, environmental puzzles, and encounters rather than a straight corridor. |
| Orange Key/platform puzzle | The route summary flags an Orange Key and a platform puzzle. | Record where the key is found and which platforms change after each interaction; do not assume the solution from another version. |
| Castle climb | The same summary identifies a castle-climbing puzzle. | Save before the climb and inspect every landing for exits, items, or switches. |
| Justice trial | A Justice trial is listed as a story-route landmark. | Enter with healing available and read every prompt carefully before selecting an answer or action. |
| Omega Flowery climb | The route summary points to an Omega Flowery climb late in the route. | Treat it as a major progression segment and preserve a save from before the approach. |
| Ending | Following the Flower Kingdom route leads to the chapter’s ending. | Allow the final scenes to finish before closing the game so the next-chapter state can be recorded. |
Normal route: how to progress without missing the obvious path
1. Start in Hometown
Use Hometown to establish your party, equipment, and inventory before moving on. Speak with available characters, check containers and side rooms, and save at the last safe point. Those habits matter because the chapter’s later route contains several named puzzles, and a prepared save gives you a clean recovery point if you make an unintended choice.
Do not spend all consumables on routine encounters. The chapter’s combat system rewards learning patterns, and ordinary fights are a good place to practice movement while preserving valuable healing for trials and climbs.

Flower Kingdom is the central normal-route destination identified by current route coverage. Treat its rooms as an interconnected puzzle space rather than a sequence of battles. When a door or passage appears blocked, first search the current room and its adjacent rooms for switches, keys, movable objects, or a change in platform position.
Keep a simple map note. Write down locked doors, colored keys, unusual platforms, and places that look reachable but are not yet accessible. This prevents unnecessary backtracking and gives you a record of unresolved objectives if you leave the area.
3. Solve the Orange Key and platform section
An Orange Key/platform puzzle is one of the route landmarks named in current walkthrough coverage. The public summary does not provide the exact room order or input sequence, so there is no responsible one-line solution to copy here.
Use this procedure instead:
- Search the entire accessible section before moving a platform. Note the Orange Key’s location and every platform that changes when you interact with the environment.
- Test one change at a time, then return to the nearest safe position. This makes it clear which movement opened a route and which movement merely reset one.
- After obtaining the key, revisit doors and barriers in the same area before advancing. A key may be intended for a nearby lock rather than the first locked object you saw.
- Save once the route opens. If a later transition leaves you unable to return, you will still have a file from before the change.
4. Work through the castle-climbing puzzle
The castle climb is another confirmed route landmark, but exact platform positions and solutions are not established in the available public description. Climbing sections commonly combine navigation with timing or observation, so resist the temptation to repeat a failed sequence at random.
Pause after each landing. Check for alternate exits, interactable scenery, and items before taking the next upward route. If the camera shifts or the room scrolls, look back at the previous screen: a newly visible ledge or doorway may be the intended path. Keep healing available because a climb can place you immediately before an encounter or trial.
5. Complete the Justice trial
The Justice trial is named as a story-route event. Its exact questions, scoring rules, and consequences are not documented by the available route summary, so read every on-screen instruction and make a save immediately before entering.
When the trial presents a choice, distinguish between information that describes the rule and text that merely sets the scene. If you are unsure, record the wording in your notes rather than relying on memory. A separate save lets you examine the result without sacrificing your main progress.
6. Reach the Omega Flowery climb
Late route coverage identifies an Omega Flowery climb. Approach it as a major checkpoint: heal, review equipment, and save before crossing the threshold. During the climb, watch for changes in movement rules, hazards, or enemy behavior instead of assuming that an earlier platform technique still applies.
Once the climb is complete, follow the newly opened route toward the ending. Let the final sequence play through, then save when control returns. That preserves the chapter’s completion state for future chapters and optional cleanup.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Optional secret-boss investigation
A separate guide lead connects the secret-boss route with three terms: Pink Coins, a Mystery Key in the Cliffs, and a Pink Door at the top of the castle. These locations and names are useful leads, not a verified complete instruction set. The available description does not establish how many Pink Coins exist, whether they must be collected in one visit, or what exact trigger opens the door.
A safe way to search
- Before exploring optional areas, create a separate save after reaching Flower Kingdom.
- When you see a Pink Coin, record the room, the entrance used, and whether collecting it changes the environment.
- Search the Cliffs carefully for the Mystery Key. Note every locked object you encounter before and after obtaining it.
- Return to the castle’s upper sections only after checking your notes. The Pink Door is described as being at the top of the castle, so do not assume an early castle entrance is the correct location.
- If the door remains closed, keep the save and continue the normal route rather than discarding progress. The exact prerequisite may involve an unrecorded item, count, or sequence.
Do not treat a failed attempt as proof that the route is permanently lost. Reload the optional save, verify each collected item, and check that the game is fully updated before concluding that a requirement is missing.
Combat and fight-or-spare decisions
Chapter 5 uses Deltarune’s established battle structure: choose commands, navigate bullet patterns, and decide whether to fight or spare. The chapter-specific boss patterns and optimal actions are not established here, so avoid guides that present an unverified attack order as universal.
Recommended Free Tools
- Watch first: use an early turn to learn the shape and speed of a bullet pattern.
- Protect your resources: heal before you reach critical health, but do not consume rare items on encounters that can be safely learned through practice.
- Test nonviolent options: if an enemy offers an apparent spare-related command, observe the result and repeat it when necessary rather than immediately switching to attack.
- Save before set pieces: the Justice trial and Omega Flowery approach are the named late-route landmarks where a prepared save is most valuable.
Troubleshooting stalled progression
A door or passage will not open
Recheck the current room, then the immediately previous rooms. Look for a key, platform state, switch, or interaction you changed but did not complete. If you are following the optional route, confirm whether the object is the Pink Door rather than a normal story gate.
You cannot find the Orange Key
Return to every accessible branch in the platform section and record which routes became reachable after each platform change. Avoid resetting the area until you have written down the current configuration.
The castle climb seems impossible
Reload the save made before the climb and observe one movement cycle at a time. Check side landings and screen edges after every successful platform change; the intended route may not be the highest visible platform.
The secret-boss content does not trigger
Verify the game update, confirm your Pink Coin notes, revisit the Cliffs for the Mystery Key, and check the castle’s topmost accessible area for the Pink Door. Because the exact requirement is not publicly established in the available summary, preserve your save instead of overwriting it while experimenting.

What is and is not established about a full walkthrough
The route landmarks above are supported by the official availability information and current secondary route summaries. Exact room order, puzzle inputs, boss strategies, missable-item rules, and ending variations require confirmation in the game or in a fully inspected, current walkthrough. Until those details are verified, a guide claiming precise solutions would risk sending you to the wrong room or teaching a sequence that does not apply to your version.
For now, the most dependable approach is to use the normal-route landmarks as checkpoints, keep independent saves, document optional discoveries, and treat the secret-boss clues as leads rather than guaranteed requirements. That gets you through the chapter without turning uncertain details into false instructions.
