DELTARUNE Chapters 3 and 4 launched on June 5, 2025, as part of the full Chapters 1–4 release—matching the launch day of Nintendo Switch 2. The exact date shown to players depended on platform and time zone: Switch 2 unlocked at midnight local time, while Steam, the original Switch, PS4 and PS5 used one global release moment that fell on June 4 in parts of the West.
When did DELTARUNE Chapters 3 and 4 come out?
Chapters 3 and 4 arrived on June 5, 2025, with the complete DELTARUNE Chapters 1–4 release. Nintendo announced that Switch 2 would launch on the same date, and its official listing records June 5 as the game’s Switch 2 release date. Nintendo’s Switch 2 release announcement confirms the console’s launch date; Nintendo UK’s DELTARUNE listing confirms the game date.

This is a past release, not an upcoming date. Nintendo’s current US listing says Chapters 1–4 are available and that additional chapters are planned as free updates. Nintendo of America’s listing provides that current availability wording.
Why did some players see June 4 instead of June 5?
The release time was not identical across every platform. Toby Fox’s May 2025 release notice said Switch 2 players would get the game at midnight local time on June 5 in their region. Steam, original Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PS5 shared a single release moment: June 5 at 00:00 Japan time. That moment was June 4 at 8 a.m. PDT, 11 a.m. EDT and 5 p.m. CET. So “June 4” in a western time zone and “June 5” in Japan or for the Switch 2 regional unlock describe the same launch window, not conflicting release dates.
Which platforms received the release?
The announcement covered Steam, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PS4 and PS5. Switch 2 was not required to play the new chapters: they also released on the other listed platforms. Nintendo describes DELTARUNE as a 2D story-based RPG and a parallel story to UNDERTALE, featuring action-oriented battles with bullet patterns, puzzles, and options to resolve conflict peacefully or otherwise. How did the purchase upgrades work?
Toby Fox’s release notice described cross-buy terms for the launch. A PlayStation Store purchase included both PS4 and PS5 versions for one price. A Nintendo Switch purchase could be upgraded to the Switch 2 version at no extra cost, and vice versa; Japan was an exception, where a small fee applied because of local laws. These were the announcement’s stated terms, not a guarantee that every current storefront offer or regional entitlement remains the same. Check the relevant store listing before purchasing.
For the United States, Nintendo’s listing shows a regular price of $24.99 for each Nintendo version. That is a US regional store price and may change; other regions may show different prices.
