The available official information establishes the chapter structure and current release status, but not reliable room-by-room directions, puzzle answers, item locations, or combat strategies. The chapter guide below therefore maps the route at the level the sources support and separates optional discoveries from required progression.
Which DELTARUNE chapters are available?
As of October 8, 2026, Chapters 1–5 are available. The official FAQ says the game is completed through Chapter 5 and that Chapter 6 is in development but not complete. Nintendo confirmed Chapter 5 as a free update on June 24, 2026. The official FAQ and Nintendo’s Chapter 5 announcement document the status.

Steam identifies Chapters 1–2 as a free demo and says further chapters must be purchased; subsequent released chapters are free updates to the paid game. Steam’s DELTARUNE listing gives its current store details.
How do I progress through DELTARUNE?
For a first playthrough, follow the chapters in order. The official FAQ says you can start any chapter directly, but recommends playing in order the first time. Because the available official sources do not establish exact room routes or puzzle solutions, use this chapter sequence as a progression guide rather than a step-by-step map.

- Continue into Chapter 2. This is also included in the free demo. If you own the full game, use your existing save where available or begin a chapter directly using the game’s chapter selection.
- Play Chapter 3. It is available as part of the paid game. Continue in order if you are following the story from the beginning.
- Play Chapter 4. This is also part of the paid game and follows Chapter 3 in the current sequence.
- Continue through Chapter 5. It is currently the latest available chapter, added as a free update for owners in June 2026.
The official site describes DELTARUNE as having one ending, so there is no separate ending route to select. Its overview also mentions hidden bosses; those are optional discoveries, not a replacement for the main chapter progression. The official site’s game overview identifies both points.
Do I have to replay Chapters 1 and 2?
No. The official FAQ says you can play any chapter from the start, though it recommends the chapter order for a first playthrough. If you want the story in sequence, play Chapters 1–5; if you are returning to a later point, chapter selection lets you start at a chosen chapter. The official FAQ explains chapter selection.

Can I transfer a demo save to the full game?
Save migration depends on your platform. Check the applicable case below before deleting a demo or changing consoles or accounts. The details are from the official platform and save FAQ.

On Switch, the FAQ says the two Chapter 1–2 demos have identical content; the newer demo is attached to the full game’s eShop page.
Which platforms have the full game?
The official FAQ lists PC, Mac, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Cross-buy and downloads differ by console family; availability details below reflect the FAQ’s current wording. See the official platform FAQ for current support information.

Are Chapters 3, 4, and 5 free?
They are not part of the free Chapters 1–2 demo. Steam says further chapters must be purchased; for owners of the paid game, released later chapters arrive as free updates. Nintendo’s June 24, 2026 announcement confirms Chapter 5 was a free update for owners and says more chapters will be added later as free updates. Steam’s listing and Nintendo’s announcement distinguish the demo from the paid game.

When is Chapter 6 coming out?
Chapter 6 is in development and is not complete. Steam currently says, “We are aiming for a 2027 release!” That is a target, not a confirmed release date. The official FAQ directs players to the official site or newsletter for periodic updates. Steam’s store FAQ and the official status FAQ provide the latest stated information.
Is there a physical copy of DELTARUNE?
No physical game edition is available according to the official FAQ, which says: “Someday, probably, but not yet.” The current purchase information supports digital editions; it does not establish a physical release date. The official FAQ has the current answer.
