The Deluxo has a finite supply of homing missiles. Vehicle references report a total capacity of 30 missiles for the car, rather than 30 missiles for each launcher. That figure comes from secondary references, not an official Rockstar specification. The same references report a 225-meter lock-on range. Rockstar’s public guidance explains general weapon loadouts and ammunition purchases, but it does not document a Deluxo-specific missile refill procedure.
What the Deluxo’s “rocket limit” actually refers to
Players commonly call the Deluxo’s weapons rockets, but the vehicle references describing this mechanic use the term homing missiles. In practical terms, the question is whether the car can fire indefinitely or whether its mounted launchers draw from a finite ammunition pool. They draw from a finite pool.

The reported capacity is a vehicle-wide total. It should not be read as 30 missiles in the left pod plus another 30 in the right pod. The references describe the Deluxo as carrying 30 missiles altogether, even though the launcher pods and firing animation can make the arrangement look as if each side has an independent supply.

That distinction matters when planning a long activity. Firing from either side consumes the same reported stock. Switching the camera, changing the target, or using the other pod does not create a second reserve.

How strong is the 30-missile figure?
Two independent vehicle references agree on the same number. The community-maintained GTA Wiki Deluxo page lists a limited launcher capacity of 30, and a separate Rockstar Actu vehicle guide also describes the missile stock as 30 total. Their agreement makes the number a useful working value for players.
Neither reference is an original Rockstar specification. The GTA Wiki entry is community maintained, and the Rockstar Actu page is a secondary guide. Rockstar’s public pages located for this question discuss weapon visibility, loadouts and general ammunition management rather than publishing a Deluxo ammunition specification. Therefore, treat 30 as the established reference value, not as a formally published manufacturer statistic.
There is also no named Rockstar quote confirming the count. If a future game update changes the vehicle’s weapons, the in-game behavior could supersede these older secondary descriptions. Until an official change or a clearly documented update appears, 30 is the sensible number to use when budgeting shots.

The 225-meter figure is a lock-on range, not a missile-distance guarantee
The same vehicle references report a 225-meter lock-on range. This tells you how far away a target can be for the Deluxo’s targeting system to acquire it under the relevant game conditions. It does not necessarily describe the maximum distance a missile can travel after launch.
Those are separate measurements. A missile might continue flying beyond the distance at which a lock can be acquired, or it might lose effectiveness for other reasons. The available references do not establish a maximum flight distance, a guaranteed hit distance, or a universal line-of-sight rule. Use 225 meters as a targeting figure only.

In a fight, this means a target outside the reported lock-on envelope may not produce a lock even though you still have missiles available. Conversely, having a lock does not guarantee impact: movement, cover, evasive driving and the game’s missile behavior can still affect the result. The capacity number answers “how many launches?”; the range number answers “how far can targeting begin?”
How to budget the Deluxo’s finite supply
A limited stock changes the best way to use the car. You do not need to avoid every shot, but you should stop treating the launchers as an unlimited substitute for ordinary weapons.
Before starting an activity
- Decide whether missiles are essential. If the activity contains a few high-value targets, reserve the vehicle weapon for those targets instead of opening every encounter with a missile.
- Assume the reported total is shared. Plan around one pool for the whole car, not a separate allowance for each visible pod.
- Check your version and platform. Updates can change vehicle behavior. If your game displays a different count or behaves differently, record that in-game result rather than assuming a guide written for another build is authoritative.
During combat
- Fire only after a reliable lock. A launch at a target that is moving behind cover or leaving the lock-on envelope is more likely to waste one of your limited shots.
- Use the reported range as a planning boundary. At distances beyond 225 meters, do not keep pressing the launch control expecting a lock that the cited vehicle references say the system cannot acquire at that distance.
- Separate target value from target availability. A convenient lock is not automatically a worthwhile target. Save missiles for objectives that are difficult to handle with the Deluxo’s other capabilities.
- Keep a mental shot count. The game’s interface and exact ammunition display can vary by situation, so a simple count of launches helps you avoid assuming that the stock is unlimited.
After a failed launch
If a missile misses, disappears into terrain or strikes a decoy, count it as spent. The available material does not document a refund for a miss, a cooldown that restores ammunition, or a reserve magazine. Treat every launch as an expenditure unless your own game session clearly shows otherwise.
What to expect when the missiles run out
The references establish that the supply is limited, but they do not provide an official description of the exact empty-ammunition behavior. In practical terms, a finite stock means you should expect the launcher to stop providing another missile once the stock is exhausted, unless the game restores ammunition through a method available in your version.
Do not infer a specific warning message, reload animation or automatic refill timer from the capacity number alone. Those interface details are not established by the cited vehicle references. If the launcher stops firing, that is consistent with an exhausted stock, but it could also reflect a targeting, control or vehicle-state issue that needs separate checking.

The Deluxo remains usable for driving and for any other functions available in your game even when its missile stock is depleted. The capacity figure concerns the mounted missile ammunition; it is not a statement that the entire vehicle becomes unusable.

No Deluxo-specific refill instruction is confirmed in the official material located for this topic. Rockstar Support’s guidance, last updated June 3, 2024, explains that weapons can appear to be missing when they are excluded from a Custom Weapon Loadout. It directs players to manage that loadout through the Gun Locker and the Interaction Menu. That guidance concerns which weapons are visible or equipped; it does not confirm the Deluxo’s mounted missile capacity or a vehicle-specific restock command.
A 2022 Rockstar Newswire announcement says players can purchase maximum ammunition for all weapons through the Interaction Menu. The statement is general. It does not say that the purchase restores the Deluxo’s vehicle-mounted missiles, and it does not define whether the car’s missiles are treated like the character’s conventional weapon ammunition.
For that reason, an instruction such as “open this menu, buy maximum ammo, and the Deluxo is refilled” would go beyond the available evidence. Menu labels, platform behavior and updates can also change. If you test the general ammunition option, regard the result as a version-specific observation rather than a documented Deluxo rule.

The weapon seems to be missing
First distinguish a visibility problem from an ammunition problem. Rockstar’s support guidance says a weapon may be hidden when it is excluded from a Custom Weapon Loadout. Check the loadout settings through the Gun Locker or the Interaction Menu as described by Rockstar. This can explain why a weapon is not shown in a character’s available set, but it does not prove that the Deluxo’s missiles have been refilled or removed.

The car will not acquire a target
Check distance before assuming the ammunition is empty. The secondary vehicle references place the lock-on range at 225 meters. A target beyond that reported range may not produce a lock even when missiles remain. Move closer, obtain a clear targeting situation and try again. The references do not establish every condition that can interrupt a lock, so avoid treating one failed lock as proof that the stock is depleted.
The launcher appears to fire fewer or more times than expected
Count launches across the vehicle rather than counting visible pods. The cited descriptions report one total stock and note that the pod arrangement can create confusion about how the firing count should be read. Visual symmetry is not evidence of two independent ammunition supplies.
If your observed count differs from the reported total, record the platform, game mode and update state. A discrepancy could reflect a change in the game, a difference in what the interface counts, or a misunderstanding of what constitutes a launch. Because Rockstar has not published a Deluxo-specific specification in the material available here, the observation cannot be resolved by quoting an official number that does not exist.
Common mistakes about the limit
- “Thirty per launcher.” The vehicle references describe 30 as the total stock, not an allowance for each pod.
- “Two pods mean two magazines.” The physical arrangement does not establish independent ammunition pools.
- “225 meters is the missile’s maximum travel distance.” It is reported as a lock-on range, and those concepts are not interchangeable.
- “Buying maximum ammunition always refills the car.” Rockstar’s general ammunition announcement does not confirm that result for mounted Deluxo missiles.
- “A missing weapon proves the missiles are gone.” Loadout visibility can make weapons appear missing, according to Rockstar’s support guidance.
- “A secondary guide is an official specification.” The number is supported by two references, but neither is Rockstar’s own vehicle specification.
A practical decision checklist
- Identify the weapon as the Deluxo’s homing-missile system, even if you call the shots rockets.
- Use the reported 30-missile vehicle total as your planning assumption.
- Remember that the pool is shared across the vehicle’s launchers.
- Use 225 meters as the cited lock-on boundary, not as a promise about maximum missile travel.
- Reserve launches for targets that justify spending finite ammunition.
- If a lock fails, check distance and targeting conditions before concluding that the stock is empty.
- If the weapon appears absent, inspect the Custom Weapon Loadout through the Gun Locker or Interaction Menu.
- Do not rely on a generic maximum-ammunition purchase as a confirmed Deluxo refill method; Rockstar has not documented that vehicle-specific result.
- If your current build behaves differently, prioritize the observed in-game behavior and note the update or platform when reporting it.
Bottom line for Deluxo owners
The Deluxo is not an unlimited-missile vehicle. Secondary vehicle references consistently report a 30-missile total, with a reported 225-meter lock-on range. The first figure is a shared vehicle supply, not a per-pod allowance, and the second is a targeting distance rather than a guaranteed flight-distance limit. Rockstar’s available public guidance does not confirm a Deluxo-specific way to restock the missiles, so conserve the supply and treat any refill behavior you observe as dependent on your game version until an official vehicle-specific instruction is published.
