When to start and finish Demons of Trosky
After completing For Whom the Bell Tolls and gaining access to Trosky Castle, speak with Chamberlain Ulrich and ask whether there is work around the castle. Agree to investigate the reported demons. Ulrich offers Holy water or Magic water; either choice is reported to allow completion of the task.

Complete the task before beginning Main Quest 8, Necessary Evil. PowerPyx warns that the Knight’s Hall becomes inaccessible after that quest, which can block an objective. Gamer Guides gives a later cutoff, before For Victory, but the accounts conflict. Finishing before Necessary Evil avoids relying on the more permissive timing advice. The latest official patch effect on this task has not been established.
Extinguish Manyeta’s five fireplaces on the Crone’s side
Find Manyeta, the cook, in the kitchen on the east side of the castle. She asks Henry to douse five fireplaces on the Crone’s side, in the western tower.

- Start from the kitchen and climb through the rooms above it, including the Scribe’s chambers.
- Continue past the room with the alchemy bench and follow the stairs to the upper room at the end of the route.
- Use the objective markers to locate and extinguish all five fireplaces.
Bertha is generally found in the Crone’s tower while Henry is working on Manyeta’s request, making it convenient to pick up the second fireplace assignment nearby.

Speak with Bertha and accept her request to douse five fireplaces on the Maiden’s side, in the eastern tower. The described route begins in the kitchen.

Inspect the three privy openings for Osina
Find blacksmith Osina, generally near the smithy in the castle grounds. His reports of “devils” lead Henry to privy openings. Inspect each location and return to Osina as the task updates.
- Guardhouse: Inspect the privy opening in the lower room of the guardhouse west of the combat arena.
- Maiden’s tower: Report the first finding to Osina, then inspect the privy opening in the Maiden’s tower and report back.
- Crone’s tower: Inspect the opening in the Crone’s tower and report the result to Osina.
Return to Ulrich to complete the task
Once both fireplace assignments and all three privy inspections are done, return to Chamberlain Ulrich and report that the work is finished. The walkthroughs consulted confirm that this closes Demons of Trosky; they do not establish a specific reward amount.
