Yes. Bungie confirmed a collaboration with Lucasfilm Games on January 30, 2025, bringing Star Wars-inspired cosmetics to Destiny 2. The items launched with the first Act of Episode: Heresy in February 2025; this was an in-game cosmetics release, not a confirmed physical merchandise line.
Was the Destiny 2 and Star Wars collaboration official?
Yes. Bungie announced the collaboration with Lucasfilm Games in its January 30, 2025 This Week in Destiny post, describing Star Wars-inspired items coming to Destiny 2. That announcement establishes an official collaboration, rather than a rumor based on leaks or fan speculation.
What Star Wars items came to Destiny 2?
The collaboration consisted of digital cosmetics. Bungie’s February 6, 2025 launch follow-up named three class-specific armor ornament sets and additional themed items:
- Covert Ranger armor ornaments for Hunters
- Royal Protector armor ornaments for Warlocks
- Shock Enforcer armor ornaments for Titans
- The Interstellar Warfare Antiquities Collection, along with themed finishers and emotes
The sets draw on Galactic Empire troopers and royal guards. These are cosmetic items for use in the game, not separate playable Star Wars characters or a physical Destiny 2 product.

When did the items launch?

In a February 6, 2025 follow-up, Bungie confirmed that the first Act of Heresy—and the collaboration items—had launched. The release is a past event, not an upcoming crossover.
Is the collaboration still available?
The official launch coverage confirms the items arrived through Eververse, Destiny 2’s in-game store, but the cited announcements do not establish whether each item is currently obtainable or when it may return. Check the in-game store for present availability rather than assuming the 2025 launch means the cosmetics remain on sale.

How does this differ from Destiny 2: Renegades?
Bungie separately described Renegades, launched in December 2025, as a Destiny 2 campaign inspired by Star Wars. That creative inspiration is distinct from the January 2025 collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, which concerned named in-game cosmetics. The two share a Star Wars connection, but they are not the same announcement or release.
Can you still play Destiny 2?
Yes. Bungie’s current support guidance says Destiny 2 remains playable. Bungie stated that planned live-service content updates would end with the June 9, 2026 update; it may still issue stability hotfixes if needed. Playability therefore does not mean that a regular schedule of new content updates will continue.
