Week 8 of Destiny 2: Season of the Wish has two Starcats: one in the final room of the Starcrossed Exotic mission, and one in the Cell of the Sycophant. These are historical locations: PC Gamer reports that Starcats could no longer be collected after The Final Shape launched on June 4, 2024.
Starcrossed Starcat location
The Starcrossed Starcat is in a small circular room beyond a portal near the end of the Starcrossed Exotic mission. Reaching it requires continuing past the mission’s loot chest.

- Play Starcrossed through to its final room and open the loot chest.
- Go to the back of the chamber and climb the floating rubble platforms to reach the powered portal in an alcove.
- Enter the portal. In the circular room beyond, look beside the Vexified Ishtar Collective logo for the Starcat.
Cell of the Sycophant Starcat location
The Cell of the Sycophant Starcat is in the chamber of the same name, tucked among flowers and grass on the far right side, opposite the entrance.
- The Coil: The guide reports four opportunities to encounter the chamber along a run.
- Riven’s Lair: This activity can also take you to the room.
- Week 5 story quest: The guide says this guarantees a visit for a character that has not yet completed that story segment.
Once in the chamber, check the far side on the right rather than searching near the entrance.

Where the Starcats appear in the H.E.L.M.
After you collect a Starcat and claim its associated Triumph, it appears in the H.E.L.M. The Starcrossed cat is placed in the Wing of the Wish hot tub; the Cell of the Sycophant cat appears in a suspended planter in the Wing of the Deep. These are display locations, not the places where you collect them.
