Supercell’s June 2026 balance notes show a buff to Sprout, not a nerf. The notes say the brawler’s main-attack reload time fell from 1.7 seconds to 1.5 seconds and its damage rose from 1,040 to 1,100. They do not confirm the headline’s claim that players welcomed a Sprout nerf.
What changed for Sprout in June 2026?
Supercell’s June 2026 release notes, published June 30, describe two improvements to Sprout’s main attack:
| Stat | Before | After | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main-attack reload time | 1.7 seconds | 1.5 seconds | Shorter reload |
| Main-attack damage | 1,040 | 1,100 | Higher damage |
Supercell’s stated reason was that “Sprout needs some more consistency and baseline damage to help it shine more when the opportunity for picking arises.” That is the publisher’s explanation for a buff; it is not evidence of a nerf or of how players reacted.
Did players welcome a Sprout nerf?
The available evidence does not establish that they did. The June notes document a buff and do not report player sentiment, cite a poll, or measure a community response to a Sprout nerf. The source behind the exact headline remains unidentified, so its premise cannot be verified from the located material.

A Reddit post titled “Balance Changes (and why they’re a 6/10)” is an individual’s commentary on a different balance update. It does not document a reaction to the alleged Sprout nerf and cannot show that players broadly welcomed one.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What the evidence does—and does not—show
- Documented: Supercell reduced Sprout’s main-attack reload time and raised its damage in the June 2026 notes.
- Not documented: A Sprout nerf in those notes, the source or date of the alleged move, or broad player approval of it.
Until a dated source identifies a different change and substantiates the reaction, the most accurate reading is that the June 2026 update buffed Sprout. The headline’s claim about players welcoming a nerf is unverified.
