When checked on October 8, 2026, Roblox’s official status page listed its major services as operational. That is a snapshot, so check the Roblox Status page for the latest update if the platform is not working for you.
Is Roblox down right now?
On October 8, 2026, Roblox’s status page showed “All Systems Operational,” including its user service, website, mobile app, Xbox app, games, and creator components. The page is live and can change, so its current listing—not an earlier check—is the best way to tell whether Roblox is experiencing a platform-wide problem.
The status history also listed a site issue on October 5, 2026, resolved at 16:13 PDT. A resolved incident indicates a temporary service disruption; it does not mean Roblox permanently closed.
What to do if Roblox is not working for you
- Check the official status page. Look for an active incident affecting the feature you use, such as games, the website, or the mobile app.
- If services are operational, wait briefly and retry. Roblox Support recommends checking the status page and trying again after a short wait if you cannot join an experience. See What happens when Roblox is down?
- Check whether the problem is limited to one experience. If Roblox’s main services are operational but a particular game will not load, that alone does not establish a platform-wide outage.
Disruptions or maintenance can affect joining experiences, responsiveness, or purchases. The status page reports service status in aggregate, so an operational listing does not guarantee that every player or region is unaffected.

Is Roblox shutting down permanently?
The available official information does not indicate a permanent shutdown. Roblox’s September 11, 2026 newsroom post, “RDC 2026: The World Needs More Play,” discussed ongoing platform development and planned features, including browser play and offline play. Those plans support that platform work was continuing, but release timing can change; the live status page remains the source to check for current availability.
