Guinness notes that records can change and may not be published immediately, so these are the figures displayed on its pages, not a live count.
How many likes did it get in its first 24 hours?
In a report published December 6, 2023, Guinness said the trailer also became YouTube’s most-liked videogame trailer, with 8.9 million likes in its first 24 hours. The report also says the trailer was released earlier than scheduled after a leak a few hours beforehand; it does not establish the leak as a cause of the view total. Why does Take-Two give a different figure?
Take-Two Interactive later described Trailer 1 as having received “over 93 million” YouTube views in 24 hours in its investor presentation. That is the company’s rounded description; Guinness’s record pages list the exact figure 90,421,491. The cited sources do not explain the difference, so the two figures should remain attributed to their respective publishers rather than treated as a reconciled total. Is the 475 million figure for the same trailer?
No. Take-Two’s “over 475 million views in 24 hours” figure refers to Trailer 2’s cross-platform debut, not Trailer 1’s YouTube record. It measures a different trailer across platforms, so it cannot be compared directly with Guinness’s YouTube-only 24-hour figure for Trailer 1. In September 2026, TechRadar reported that the broader launch figure had since been surpassed by Spider-Man: Brand New Day; that update does not change the Guinness category or figure for Trailer 1.
