No. The latest official weapon change confirmed in the update notes reviewed was a buff to the Aphelion’s aiming stability, not a nerf to the game’s best weapons. The September 22, 2026 Store Update listed fixes and improvements but no weapon-balance changes. Frozen Trail, announced for October 8, was still upcoming as of October 7.
What changed in the latest live update?
ARC Raiders’ Live Update 1.45.0, dated September 8, 2026, says: “Reduced weapon sway for Aphelion to improve aiming stability.” Reduced sway is an aiming-stability improvement; the note does not describe a damage reduction or other nerf. Read the official Live Update 1.45.0 notes.
The later Store Update 1.47.0, dated September 22, lists fixes and improvements but does not document weapon-balance changes. Its update number is later, but the notes do not support the claim that it nerfed weapons. Read the official Store Update 1.47.0 notes.
Was Frozen Trail already changing weapon balance?
No. Embark’s September 23 Frozen Trail preview said the update was coming on October 8, 2026, so it had not launched as of October 7. The preview announced a fifth weapon quality level and branching enhancements for 15 weapons at launch. Those are planned features, not evidence of a live nerf. Read Embark’s Frozen Trail preview.

Can we tell whether the best weapons are still the best?
Not from these notes. They do not provide comparative performance data or enough detail to rank current weapons, quantify a nerf, or say how a particular weapon performs in PvP versus against ARC enemies. To evaluate a balance claim, check the exact live version, the weapon’s role and use case, and the specific stat or behavior the developer says changed. No independent benchmark or statistical study supporting a weapon ranking was identified in the sources cited here.
