Discord Checkpoint is the platform’s year-in-review recap: its 2025 edition highlighted activity such as games played, communities, messages, voice time, emoji use and the friend you talked with most. But the 2025 viewing period ended on January 15, 2026. The official sources available for this article do not confirm whether a 2026 edition has been announced, so there may not be a new recap to open right now.
What Discord Checkpoint shows
Discord introduced Checkpoint in 2025 as its first annual review of a user’s activity on the platform. Discord described it as a personalized recap of what you did on Discord during the year, in the same broad sense that Spotify Wrapped recaps listening—but Checkpoint is a Discord feature, not a Spotify feature. Discord’s December 4, 2025 announcement said the recap could include games, communities, messages, voice activity and emoji use, as well as the friend you talked with most.
Discord also shared platform-wide observations in that announcement: it said League of Legends continued to dominate and named League of Legends, Minecraft and Genshin Impact among the games played most on Discord in 2025. It did not provide numeric rankings or counts in the announcement text. The company said the fire emoji entered its five most-used emojis for the first time in 2025, after not appearing in that group from 2021 through 2024. These are Discord’s own reported figures and observations, not an independently audited ranking.
Can you still view your 2025 Checkpoint?
No. Discord’s support article says the 2025 Checkpoint was available through January 15, 2026; that viewing period has passed. The article also said plans after the 2025 edition were still in development. The official sources available here do not establish whether Discord has since announced a 2026 edition, so current availability is unconfirmed rather than definitively ruled out. Where the 2025 recap appeared
When the 2025 Checkpoint was available, Discord documented these access paths:
- Desktop app: Select the flag icon in the upper-right corner of Discord.
- Mobile app: Open the You tab at the bottom right, then tap the Checkpoint banner.
- Browser: Discord’s support article also describes access through the desktop/browser interface using the flag icon.
Discord advised using the latest app version. Its support article’s mobile platform notes are tied to the version retrieved and should not be treated as current device-availability guidance.
Why some users did not receive a Checkpoint
A Checkpoint was not guaranteed for every account. Discord said eligibility for the 2025 recap depended on having activity during 2025 and having the setting that allows data to be used to personalize the Discord experience enabled. According to Discord’s support article, turning that setting on later would not create a 2025 Checkpoint retroactively. Since the 2025 viewing period has ended, these conditions explain eligibility for that edition, not access to a current one.
What data Checkpoint used—and who could see it
Discord’s support article says Checkpoint used activity data, with games played and time spent in voice channels as examples; it did not use message content. The recap was private to the account holder unless they chose to share it. Discord described a share button for the summary and said users could also take screenshots of other pages. The Checkpoint avatar decoration
Discord also offered a digital Checkpoint-themed avatar decoration. Discord said it could be worn through January 15, 2026, the same date the 2025 recap viewing period ended. That period has passed, so the decoration is not a current way to access the recap.
