By year’s end, the announced lineup included several free base-game updates, the Storybook Vale expansion finale, a separate paid expansion, and a free December update.
What the 2025 roadmap announced
Gameloft published its roadmap for the rest of 2025 on June 4. It gave firm dates for Mysteries of Skull Rock on June 18 and The Unwritten Realm, the Storybook Vale finale, on July 9. For the later months, the roadmap offered seasonal clues rather than a complete release calendar: “friendly emotions” in summer, a return to a beloved Realm and an “enchanting new duo” in fall, and another Villager near year-end. Those clues were not confirmed character names or dates at the time. The announcement also said PlayStation Cross-Save was planned alongside Mysteries of Skull Rock and previewed a multiplayer-oriented feature for later in the year. Gameloft’s June roadmap
Later announcements resolved several of the teases. The fall return was to Beast’s Castle, with Lumiere and Cogsworth; the October Showcase announced Cinderella and DreamTeams for December. The roadmap’s broad descriptions should therefore be read as early hints, not as evidence that every later detail had already been confirmed.

Which 2025 content was free, and which required a purchase?
The schedule mixed different kinds of releases, so “2025 updates” does not mean every item was available to every player through a free base-game patch.

- Storybook Vale expansion pass: The Unwritten Realm concluded this expansion’s story and provided Maleficent and Aurora content for expansion-pass owners. It was not a standard free update.
- Separate expansion: Wishblossom Ranch was announced as an additional expansion, rather than a free base-game update. The Showcase stated that its full main story would be available at launch and that four Villagers could be unlocked.
What the fall roadmap clue meant
The June reference to returning to a beloved Realm and meeting an “enchanting new duo” was later resolved by Return to Beast’s Castle. The October update brought Lumiere and Cogsworth into the Valley through a mystery in the Realm. Starting that journey required Belle and Beast to be unlocked first, according to the October update notes.

As of October 2026, the dates above are historical announcements and releases, not upcoming 2025 plans. The useful distinction is between what Gameloft confirmed in June and what it only hinted at: June named the June and July releases and gave seasonal clues for later content; later update notes and the October Showcase supplied the specific names and dates for the rest of the announced lineup. The official posts linked above are the primary references for each release’s contents and access requirements.
