What are the next Disney Lorcana sets?
The two sets announced at D23 in August 2026 are Into the Inkdark and Cosmic Quest. Their announced windows are Q1 2027 and Spring 2027, respectively. The next set before them is Hyperia City, whose prerelease is scheduled for October 16, 2026, according to the Disney Parks Blog D23 recap. Ravensburger had previously placed Hyperia City in Q4 2026 in its Wilds Unknown release announcement.
| Set | Announced timing | What is known so far |
|---|---|---|
| Hyperia City | Prerelease October 16, 2026; Ravensburger previously placed the set in Q4 2026 | A creative city setting, glimmers from Pixar’s Coco, and a new one-time ink-power burst mechanic called ink drops. |
| Into the Inkdark | Q1 2027 | Villain-focused exploration involving Hades, an evil plan, and the Dark Illuminary. Collector boosters are set to debut with this set. |
| Cosmic Quest | Spring 2027 | A galactic space-adventure theme; Ariel in an astrosuit is an early example of a cosmic-inspired glimmer. |
The 2027 windows come from Ravensburger’s August 15, 2026 announcement and the Disney Parks Blog recap. Neither source gives a specific general-release day for Into the Inkdark or Cosmic Quest.
What is Into the Inkdark?
Into the Inkdark is the Q1 2027 set with a villain-centered story. The early description points to Hades, exploration, and the Dark Illuminary, a setting tied to an evil plan. That establishes its narrative direction, but not the full cast of cards or the set’s complete product lineup.

Collector boosters and Illustrious cards
Ravensburger says collector boosters will debut with Into the Inkdark and contain 12 randomized premium foil cards. The company also says the set will have six Illustrious cards, with only 23 serialized copies of each Illustrious card printed per set. Disney Parks Blog says collector boosters will be distributed through Ravensburger Play Hub stores, the Ravensburger Online Store, and select Disney locations. These are announced product and distribution details, not a guarantee of availability at every retailer.
What is Cosmic Quest?
Cosmic Quest is planned for Spring 2027 and has a galactic, space-adventure premise. Ravensburger and Disney have shown Ariel in an astrosuit as an example of a cosmic-inspired glimmer. The official material reviewed so far does not provide a full product lineup, a complete character list, or an exact release date.
What comes before the 2027 sets?
Hyperia City is the immediate next release ahead of Into the Inkdark and Cosmic Quest. Disney Parks Blog reports its prerelease for October 16, 2026. The set is described as a bustling creative city featuring characters from Pixar’s Coco. It also introduces ink drops: one-time bursts of ink power. Ravensburger’s earlier Q4 2026 timing provides a broader release window, while the prerelease announcement supplies the more specific event date.
