Xbox Play Anywhere means the listing supports play across Xbox and Windows PC under the program. The store also says cloud play requires a game purchase and Game Pass Essential, Premium, or Ultimate; it does not list the game as included with Game Pass.
When did Dispatch come out on Xbox?

Xbox Wire announced the port on March 26, 2026, with a planned summer window for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and Xbox Cloud, along with Xbox Play Anywhere support. Xbox Wire’s announcement.
Why was the Xbox delay called bad news?
The headline reflected a period when Dispatch had arrived on PlayStation 5 and PC, then Switch and Switch 2, while Xbox still had no release date. That timing meant Xbox players had to wait longer than players on those platforms. The sequence is clear; its cause is not. The available announcements do not explain why the Xbox version arrived later or establish that the delay produced a specific commercial loss or enduring disadvantage for Xbox.

What kind of game is Dispatch?
Dispatch is a superhero workplace comedy set in modern-day Los Angeles. You play Robert Robertson, also known as Mecha Man, after his suit is destroyed. He takes a dispatcher job managing a team of former supervillains. Rather than focus on direct superhero combat, the game combines story choices and workplace relationships with strategy-map shifts: assign heroes to emergencies and manage the roster. Xbox says choices and performance during dispatch segments affect story outcomes.
Co-creative director Dennis Lenart described the character approach this way: “We built every character as a real, imperfect person first—someone ordinary and recognizable. You should be able to look at any of them and think, ‘I know someone like that.’ Their superpowers are just an extra layer, which is why they feel so relatable.”
