What players found in Dispatch’s code
Players noticed code that appeared to point to a love interest spending the night after the Episode 6 party at Robert’s apartment. The clue suggested a possible follow-up to the party, rather than showing that the encounter was present in the released game. VideoGamer’s report describes the code and the subsequent clarification about the scene’s production status.
Why it is not a restored or deleted finished scene
VideoGamer, reporting on an interview with Dispatch writer Pierre Shorette and game director Nick Herman, says Herman clarified that the scenes were never storyboarded and did not go into animation. That distinction matters: this Episode 6 idea was unrealized, not a completed sequence waiting to be uncovered or restored.
The party itself is part of Episode 6; PC Gamer’s review describes it as a housewarming gathering with dancing and team camaraderie. That establishes the scene’s context, not a romantic aftermath. PC Gamer’s review does not establish that the proposed overnight scene appeared in the game.

How the “cut sex scenes” comment fits
In a November 2025 interview with Inverse, Shorette said, “We definitely cut some sex scenes. Which, in retrospect, we shouldn’t have.” He also discussed the cost of animation and branching, and said romance was not the game’s sole focus. His broader remark does not establish that this specific Episode 6 sequence was produced and then cut. Inverse’s interview also identifies Blonde Blazer and Invisigal as the two planned romance options; Shorette said no one else was planned as a romance option.

VideoGamer also reports that Herman described roughly 80 pages being removed as the team condensed the game into something it could produce. That is an approximate production estimate, not an audited page count, and the report does not say those pages were all romance material. It should not be used to infer how much romantic content was cut.
