Some do, but there is no evidence that every 24/7 YouTube streaming service in India issues GST invoices. StreamSetu explicitly says it adds 18% GST at checkout and issues a GST invoice for every payment. StreamNeo says in its own comparison article that GST invoices are available for business expenses, but confirm the details with its billing team or checkout before paying. Several other services reviewed do not state their invoice policy; that silence does not mean they refuse to issue invoices.

The evidence does not support a market-wide percentage or a claim that the services whose pages omit invoice information will not issue one. Policies and checkout details can change, so verify with the provider you plan to use.
What to ask before paying
Ask the provider these questions before subscribing, ideally in writing:
- Do you issue a GST tax invoice for this subscription, and for every renewal or payment?
- Can I enter my business’s legal name, billing address and GSTIN before payment? Will the GSTIN appear on the invoice?
- What supplier legal name and GSTIN will be shown?
- How will the tax be split between CGST/SGST or IGST for my billing location?
- Can you show a sample invoice, and explain how to retrieve the final document after payment?

How to check the invoice itself
CBIC’s invoice rules specify particulars for a registered supplier’s tax invoice. Relevant fields include the supplier’s name, address and GSTIN; a unique invoice number and issue date; recipient name, address and GSTIN/UIN if registered; service description; taxable value; tax rate and tax amount; and applicable place-of-supply and other details. Use those particulars as a document-checking guide, not as a conclusion about your eligibility for input tax credit. If a business GSTIN must appear, check the invoice after payment and contact the provider promptly if a detail is wrong.

Why Google’s GST guidance does not settle a streaming provider’s policy
Google’s India Payments guidance concerns purchases from Google and Google billing profiles; it does not establish how an independent 24/7 streaming service invoices customers. For Google purchases, Google describes 9% CGST plus 9% SGST when the bill-to and bill-from states match, or 18% IGST otherwise, and says the matching GSTIN appears on its invoices.
