Sometimes, but not automatically. A Call of Duty preorder bonus may follow you to another platform when both platform accounts are linked to the same Activision account and the offer allows cross-platform access. It may not transfer when you switch to a different Activision account, preorder through a platform-specific storefront, need a code, or must redeem the reward in a particular game. The exact title, bonus, preorder platform, destination platform and account linkage determine the result.
The account distinction that decides most cases
Players often use “changing platforms” and “changing accounts” to describe the same problem, but Activision treats them differently. Moving from one console or PC platform to another while keeping the same Activision account is not the same as linking a platform account to a different Activision account.

Same Activision account, different platform
For supported cross-progression Call of Duty games, progression is stored on the Activision account. Activision says that you can play on any platform linked to that account and carry progression with you. Owned content can also be available across linked platforms when the specific offer supports it. See Activision’s account-management guidance for the current account-linking rules.
This is the situation most likely to let a preorder entitlement appear on another platform, but it is not a universal promise. The bonus itself may still be restricted to the platform where the preorder was made, a particular game, or a redemption method.

Different Activision account
Linking your PlayStation, Xbox, Battle.net, Steam or other platform account to a different Activision account does not transfer the old account’s progression to the new one. Activision states that relinking the platform account to the original Activision account can restore access to the original progression and owned content; that is recovery of the original link, not a merge of two accounts.
Activision also limits account relationships. Its account guidance describes one linked account per provider and says an individual platform account may be unlinked only once every 12 months. Do not unlink an account as a quick experiment if you are unsure which Activision account owns the preorder entitlement.
Why a preorder bonus can fail to transfer
The general cross-progression rule does not cover every reward
Cross-progression explains where game progression is stored. A preorder promotion is a separate entitlement with its own terms. One offer can be shared across linked platforms while another is locked to the preorder storefront, requires a code, or is usable only in an earlier Call of Duty title.

Automatic entitlements and codes behave differently
Some digital bonuses are attached automatically to the purchasing platform account after the transaction. Others provide a code that must be redeemed through a specified Activision or platform page. A code can have a region, expiry date, eligible-game requirement or one-time-use restriction. If the reward was never redeemed, changing platforms will not necessarily make it appear.
The destination game may be part of the requirement
A reward can be advertised with a new Call of Duty release but intended for use in Warzone or an earlier title. The entitlement may be visible only after you launch that eligible game with the correct linked account. “Transfer” therefore can mean access to the reward somewhere in the Call of Duty ecosystem, not use inside the newest game.
Storefront and subscription conditions can override account access
A PlayStation Store preorder, a PC storefront preorder and a subscription-based offer can have different eligibility language. Some promotions require an active subscription, a login on the platform where the subscription is valid, or redemption by a stated date. Those conditions remain relevant even when the same Activision account is linked elsewhere.

What transfers in common scenarios

How to check your bonus before changing accounts or platforms
- Write down the exact title and reward name. “The preorder bundle” is not precise enough. Record the operator, weapon blueprint, challenge pack, cosmetics or currency named in the offer.
- Record where you preordered. Note the platform, storefront, edition and whether the purchase was digital, physical or subscription-based.
- Identify the destination platform. A move from one console to another, from console to PC, and a storefront change on the same hardware can invoke different terms.
- Confirm the Activision account email. Sign in to the account that was connected when the preorder was placed. Do not assume the platform account’s email and Activision account email are identical.
- Read the title’s official bonus page. Look for wording such as “on all platform accounts linked to your Activision account,” “only on the platform where you preordered,” a required game, a code, a subscription, a region or an expiry date.
- Check redemption status. If the promotion supplied a code, verify whether it was redeemed and which account received it. A redeemed code generally cannot be moved by redeeming it again.
- Launch the eligible game on the linked account. Some content is granted only after the game synchronizes entitlements. Check the operator, customization, challenge or pack menu named by the offer rather than only the newest game’s store page.
- Save proof before unlinking. Keep the order receipt, code email, platform transaction ID and screenshots of the linked Activision account. These details are what support agents need if the reward is missing.
Official examples show why there is no franchise-wide answer
Black Ops 7 Reznov Challenge Pack
Activision’s Black Ops 7 bonus-content and code-support page lists the Reznov Challenge Pack as a preorder reward. Its conditions specify that Black Ops 6 or Warzone on the preorder platform is required to redeem it, and the page gives a redemption deadline of November 14, 2026. Because deadlines and offer terms can change, verify the live page before relying on that date.
The Black Ops 7 editions page further explains that the Reznov pack is for Black Ops 6 and Warzone and is not usable in Black Ops 7. This is a clear example of a preorder reward that cannot be judged by the new game’s cross-progression behavior alone. If you preorder on one platform and move to another, you must satisfy the named preorder-platform and eligible-game conditions before expecting access.
Black Ops 6 Woods and Reflect 115 content
The Black Ops 6 editions information describes preorder Woods and Reflect 115 content for named Call of Duty games. It also gives Game Pass subscribers an additional condition: they had to log in on the platform where they were an eligible subscriber by the stated date and maintain the subscription. This demonstrates that an entitlement can depend on both the platform and the offer’s subscription status, even when the player’s Activision account is correctly linked.

Modern Warfare II Steam preorder bundles
The historical Modern Warfare II editions FAQ says certain bundles for players who preordered on Steam could be available in Warzone and Vanguard on all platform accounts linked to the same Activision account, even though those games were not available on Steam. That is an example of a bonus deliberately extended across linked platforms. It should not be treated as a rule for every later Call of Duty promotion.
Modern Warfare II Oni Operator Pack
By contrast, the Modern Warfare II bonus-content page identifies the Oni Operator Pack as included with a digital edition preorder through the PlayStation Store. The storefront wording is an explicit warning that some content is platform-specific. A matching Activision account does not, by itself, turn a PlayStation-only promotion into a universal entitlement.

Vanguard next-generation console migration
The Vanguard editions FAQ described profile, progression, statistics and digital-content movement to a next-generation console when players continued using the same Activision account. This is a title-specific historical example of account continuity, not a standing guarantee for current releases.

Do COD Points and purchases transfer?
Do not use the behavior of COD Points to predict the behavior of a preorder cosmetic. Activision’s cross-progression guidance distinguishes account-linked progression and some purchased content from platform-tied COD Points or real-money purchases. The Modern Warfare II cross-progression guidance and the Black Ops 7 COD Points guidance explain that currency availability can depend on the platform where it was bought, while certain content and Battle Pass progress may be shared across linked platforms.
A preorder operator, challenge pack or blueprint is an entitlement with its own wording. Treat COD Points, Battle Pass access, purchased bundles and preorder rewards as separate categories when checking what you own.
What to do when the bonus is missing
- Stop changing account links. Repeated unlinking can trigger the 12-month restriction and make the ownership trail harder to diagnose.
- Return to the original Activision account. If the platform was linked to a different account, relink only when you have confirmed which account held the preorder and understand the platform’s unlink limits.
- Check the correct game. For a pack advertised for Black Ops 6 or Warzone, look there rather than only in Black Ops 7. Restart the game after confirming the account and platform connection.
- Review the offer’s timing. A closed redemption window, expired code or ended subscription can explain an apparently correct account that has no reward.
- Verify the purchase platform. Compare the receipt with the platform named in the promotion. A purchase through a different storefront may not qualify for a platform-specific bonus.
- Contact Activision Support with complete details. Provide the title, exact bonus, preorder platform, destination platform, Activision ID, platform IDs, receipt or code evidence, and the steps already tried. Ask support to verify entitlement eligibility rather than asking them to merge accounts.
If the live offer page shows that every requirement is met and the bonus still does not appear, support is the appropriate escalation path. No general account rule guarantees that an individual reward can be manually restored or moved to another Activision account.

- Same Activision account but no cross-platform wording: treat transfer as unconfirmed until the title’s bonus terms say otherwise.
- Different Activision account: assume the preorder entitlement and progression will not move; investigate relinking to the original account.
- Platform-specific store, code, subscription or deadline: that condition controls the result even when cross-progression is enabled.
The safest answer to “Will my Call of Duty preorder bonus transfer?” is therefore conditional: identify the exact reward and offer, keep the original Activision account linked, satisfy the listed platform and game requirements, and verify the current official terms before making any account change.
