No—Netflix does not charge a separate fee for its games. They’re included with an active Netflix membership, with no game ads or in-app purchases. You can download mobile games on compatible Android phones and tablets, iPhone, and iPad. Playing on a TV or computer is a separate beta feature, available only in certain countries and on supported devices.
Do Netflix games cost extra?
Netflix says its mobile, TV, and computer games are included with membership: there are no separate game fees, ads, or in-app purchases. You do need an active Netflix subscription; the games are not free to people without a membership. Netflix’s mobile games help page and TV and computer games help page describe the included access.
Membership plans and prices vary by country and can also depend on packages or add-ons. For example, Netflix’s US plan page lists games with its Standard with ads, Standard, and Premium plans. That page’s prices are specific to the United States and may change; taxes may also apply.
What devices can you play Netflix games on?
There are two distinct ways to play: install a game on a mobile device, or stream a supported game through Netflix on a TV or computer. Mobile games cannot be played on a TV. The TV and computer option is a limited beta, not a feature that works on every Netflix account or device.

Netflix’s current TV and computer beta page lists Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The rollout may change, and being in a listed country does not guarantee support for every device.
How to check whether your device can play
- On a phone or tablet: Open Netflix and look for its Games section, then select a title to check its requirements and install it. You’ll need internet access to download the game, enough storage, and a compatible device.
- On a TV: Open the Netflix app on the TV or streaming device and look for a Games option. If it appears, follow the on-screen steps; use a phone or tablet as the controller. Netflix does not support physical gamepads or other external controllers for this experience.
- On a computer: Go to Netflix.com in Chrome or Edge and look for Games. If the option is missing, check that your country, browser, and computer are supported.
If you expect Games to be available but cannot find the option, Netflix advises checking device compatibility and installing available software updates. A title may also be hidden when the selected profile’s maturity setting is below the game’s rating, or when the device is incompatible. For mobile games, check the individual title’s support information rather than treating Netflix’s recommended operating-system versions as universal minimums.
