Current location guides place Skulkers on Pendola Pass, with roughly 14 reported spawn sites. The dependable way to get another encounter is to check additional sites on the map or start a fresh raid, rather than waiting beside a defeated machine.
What is confirmed about Skulker spawns?
Skulkers are associated with Pendola Pass in the Frozen Trail-era content. MMOPIXEL reports that they appear only on Pendola Pass and identifies about 14 spawn sites across the map. Arc Tracker also lists 14 Pendola Pass locations, while GamesHorizon describes Skulker as a Pendola Pass enemy and refers to the same total. That agreement makes Pendola Pass the practical destination for any Skulker hunt.

The number should be treated as a route-planning estimate, not a promise that every match activates all 14 points. The available location reports do not establish whether every site is live in every raid, whether weather or other map conditions change the selection, or whether a defeated Skulker can repopulate the exact point. Patch changes can also add, remove or move sites.
Reported hotspots
| Area | How to use it | Evidence and limitations |
|---|---|---|
| Ravine between the Railyard and Commissary Supermarket | Make this your first check; current guides describe it as the most reliable area. | Reliability is a guide observation, not a guaranteed spawn in every raid. |
| Northern Tracks toward Almatera Station | Follow the corridor north after checking the ravine. It is useful for both Skulker searches and the Tracks of the Beast objective. | PC Gamer reports that Bully and Skulker enemies are often present along this route. |
| Gondola extraction north of Old Town | Use as a third stop when the circle, time and extraction plan allow. | Reported as another hotspot; no source establishes a fixed spawn chance. |
Do Skulkers respawn during a raid?
No current source supplies a verified respawn interval, a kill-to-respawn rule or a controlled demonstration that the same Skulker returns during one raid. In other words, documented spawn points are not proof of an in-raid respawn system. The official ARC Raiders site explains the game’s extraction structure and its ARC-machine threats, but it does not publish Skulker spawn or respawn rules.
#1 Best Overall
- ARC Raiders Deluxe Edition includes the base game and the following content: The Wanderer Set, including the following cosmetic items: “Valente” Outfit" “Pathfinder” Backpack,“Blanket Roll” Backpack Attachment.
- Plus: Character Cosmetic, Finger Gun Rapid Fire Emote, Cowboy Scrappy Body Type and Skin, 2 400 Raider Tokens.
For planning purposes, record a defeated or empty location as checked and continue to another reported site. If you need more attempts than the route provides, extract and queue a new raid. A fresh raid is the dependable reset assumption; standing over a cleared location and waiting for a timer that has not been documented is an inefficient gamble.
Why the distinction matters
- A guide can identify where a machine has been seen without proving that the point is active every match.
- A second Skulker encounter in one raid could come from another site rather than a respawn at the first one.
- Community observations can become outdated after map, enemy or encounter-generation patches.
The most practical Skulker farming loop
This loop prioritizes the areas with the strongest current location reports while limiting time spent exposed on Pendola Pass. It is suitable for quest progress, Targeter hunting or ordinary ARC salvage.
- Begin at the Railyard-to-Commissary ravine. Search the ravine’s approaches, corners and cover before moving through the center. This is the hotspot MMOPIXEL currently describes as the most reliable.
- Move north to Northern Tracks. Keep following the route toward Almatera Station. PC Gamer uses this corridor for Tracks of the Beast and reports that Bully and Skulker enemies are often found there.
- Search the Almatera Station approach. Check both sides of the track and any cover where an ambush-oriented machine could remain difficult to see. Do not assume that an empty first sightline means the entire corridor is clear.
- Check the Old Town gondola area if conditions permit. The gondola extraction north of Old Town is another reported location. Skip it when the storm, hostile Raiders or extraction deadline makes the detour unsafe.
- Make an extraction decision. Once the relevant sites are checked, leave with your progress or loot. Do not build the route around waiting at one cleared point for an unverified return.
How to search the snowy terrain
GamesHorizon emphasizes how easily Skulker camouflage blends into Pendola Pass’s snow. Arc Tracker describes an ambush-oriented machine that waits before striking. Slow your approach near bushes, ridges, corners and other visual breaks; scan for movement and machine silhouettes rather than sprinting directly down the open track.

Use cover to break up the search into short exposures. Listen and watch the surrounding angles before looting or crossing a ravine. A planned retreat route matters more than shaving a few seconds off the loop, because the same open terrain that hides a Skulker can expose you to other ARC units or Raiders.
Choosing a farming approach
The best method depends on why you need the encounter. A single hotspot minimizes travel, while a multi-site loop gives you more independent checks. Waiting has the highest uncertainty because no published source establishes a timer.
| Approach | Coverage | Time risk | Best use | Main drawback |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ravine-only check | One high-priority location | Low travel cost, but an empty site ends the attempt | Quick quest attempt or a raid already near the Railyard | Does not test Northern Tracks or Old Town. |
| Ravine to Almatera loop | Ravine plus Northern Tracks and station approach | Moderate travel and exposure | Tracks of the Beast, general Skulker searches | Requires a safe route through open snowy terrain. |
| Full three-area loop | Ravine, Northern Tracks/Almatera and Old Town gondola | Highest travel and extraction pressure | Maximizing reported site checks in one raid | More time for Raiders, ARC contact and a late extraction. |
| Fresh-raid reset | New roll of the map’s active encounters | Requires extraction or a new deployment | Repeated farming after the current route is exhausted | Consumes another raid cycle; it is not a guaranteed Skulker spawn. |
Farming Skulker Targeters
Skulker Targeter is an uncommon deployable scavenged from destroyed Skulkers, according to the ARC Raiders Wiki. It can target nearby ARC units and Raiders, including the Raider who deployed it. That makes Skulker kills useful beyond a quest requirement or ordinary salvage.

The available description does not establish a guaranteed Targeter drop from every kill. Treat each machine as a chance to obtain the item, not as a fixed reward. To improve your practical collection rate, run the multi-site route, leave with any Targeters you obtain and begin another raid when the reported locations have been checked. A new raid gives you another set of encounter opportunities without relying on a corpse to reappear.

When a Targeter is worth carrying
- Against ARC: Deploy it when nearby machines can be drawn into its firing area and you have cover from the resulting fight.
- Against Raiders: Remember that its effect can include the player who placed it; do not treat it as a harmless, owner-exclusive device.
- During farming: Keep the item only when its tactical value outweighs the extraction risk of carrying additional loot. The source describes its behavior, but not damage, duration or guaranteed kill performance.
Combat considerations when you find a Skulker
Arc Tracker lists destructible head, weapon, arm, leg and thruster parts. That supports a targeted-damage approach: watch for exposed legs or thrusters and use brief openings instead of standing in the open to trade damage. The source does not provide a complete weapon ranking, damage breakpoint or confirmed weak-point multiplier, so no particular gun or exact shot count can be presented as optimal.
A safer engagement sequence
- Identify the machine before firing. Confirm that the silhouette and behavior match a Skulker so you do not waste ammunition or reveal yourself to a different threat.
- Choose cover with a retreat lane. Snow banks, structures and terrain breaks let you disengage if the machine’s attack or another player closes in.
- Expose a part briefly. If a leg or thruster becomes visible, take the shot and return to cover rather than chasing damage in the open.
- Reposition after its attack. The ambush behavior described by Arc Tracker means the first exchange may not reveal the machine’s final position.
- Loot only after scanning. Destroyed-machine salvage and a possible Targeter can attract other players, so check the approach before opening the drop.
Finding a Skulker for Tracks of the Beast
For the Tracks of the Beast ping objective, use Northern Tracks and continue toward Almatera Station. PC Gamer’s walkthrough sends players through that northern corridor and says Bully and Skulker enemies are often present there. The route therefore combines an objective-relevant search with one of the documented Skulker areas.

- Advance toward Almatera Station while checking snowy cover and corners rather than sprinting straight along the rails.
- Look for the Skulker described by the objective and complete the required ping when you have a clear, safe opportunity.
- If no Skulker appears, continue to the station approach and then decide whether the Old Town gondola detour is worth the remaining raid time.
The corridor is a practical place to look, not a guaranteed quest spawn. If the objective does not complete, confirm that the ping registered and try the route again in a new raid instead of waiting at one empty location.

The ravine is empty
Do not conclude that the map has no Skulkers. Check the Northern Tracks-to-Almatera corridor, then the Old Town gondola area if your extraction window allows. The reported total covers multiple sites, and the sources do not say that all are active in every match.
You searched the route but found only other enemies
Record the locations you checked and extract if the raid is becoming risky. A Bully or other ARC encounter in the Northern Tracks area does not prove that a Skulker was supposed to be there, nor does it establish a hidden timer.

You want another attempt immediately
Use a fresh raid rather than camping a cleared site. This resets your opportunity to inspect the reported Pendola Pass locations without depending on an unverified within-raid mechanic.
The route became unsafe
Prioritize survival and extraction. Open tracks, ravines and gondola approaches can expose you to both ARC machines and other Raiders. A lost raid produces no Targeter, quest progress or salvage, so skip a low-value detour when the extraction path is deteriorating.
How reliable is the 14-site figure?
Approximately 14 sites are currently reported by MMOPIXEL and Arc Tracker, with GamesHorizon independently referring to all 14 Pendola Pass spots. These are guide and database observations, not an official developer rule or a guaranteed per-raid count. No cited source explains whether a map seed selects a subset, whether all points can be active simultaneously or whether a site changes after a major patch.
Recheck current location information after updates that alter Pendola Pass, Frozen Trail content or ARC enemy behavior. Keep the route flexible: prioritize the ravine, Northern Tracks and Almatera first, then use Old Town as the optional extension rather than assuming the count translates directly into 14 encounters.
Bottom line for Skulker hunters
Go to Pendola Pass and start with the Railyard-to-Commissary ravine, continue through Northern Tracks toward Almatera Station, and check the Old Town gondola area when time and safety permit. Skulkers have documented locations, but a same-raid respawn timer has not been verified. For quest progress, Northern Tracks is the most useful overlap; for Targeter farming, rotate through multiple sites, extract with any uncommon drops and use a new raid for additional attempts.
