Yes. Battlefield 6 targets 60 FPS on Xbox Series S, with a published maximum resolution of 1080p. That is a target, not a promise of a locked 60 FPS in every scene. Post-launch analysis summarized by Pure Xbox reports the Series S rendering between 864p and 1008p in its single 60 FPS mode, while staying close to the target in the analyzed scenes.
What EA says about Battlefield 6 on Xbox Series S
EA lists Xbox Series S as targeting 60 FPS at a maximum resolution of 1080p in its Battlefield 6 FAQ. The key word is “targets”: the figure describes the intended performance, not a guarantee that every moment of play will hold exactly 60 frames per second.
EA’s maximum resolution is not the same as a claim that the game renders at 1080p throughout. In its post-launch analysis, Digital Foundry reported a dynamic resolution range of 864p to 1008p for Series S; Pure Xbox relayed those findings in 2025. The range is an observed result from that analysis, not a replacement for EA’s published 1080p maximum.
How close does Series S get to 60 FPS?
Pure Xbox’s 2025 summary of Digital Foundry’s analysis says Series S stays very close to 60 FPS in the campaign and multiplayer scenes analyzed. This supports the conclusion that the target is broadly achieved in those tested scenes, but it does not establish performance in every scene, on every console, or after every later game update.

Series S has one reported graphics mode, targeting 60 FPS; it does not offer the Fidelity and Performance mode choice described for other consoles. The 864p–1008p range and close-to-target frame rate are post-launch observations, while the 1080p maximum and 60 FPS figure are EA’s targets.
Console frame-rate and resolution targets
EA’s console targets, reported by GameSpot in 2025, show that Series X, PS5, and PS5 Pro each offer Fidelity and Performance modes. Their listed resolutions are maximum targets, not guarantees of a fixed rendered resolution; GameSpot notes that actual resolution and frame rate vary by scenario.

What the unlocked Series X mode means for players
Series X’s Performance mode is separate from the Series S target. In the Digital Foundry analysis summarized by Pure Xbox, the unlocked Series X mode averaged around 90 FPS, with prominent tearing when played without VRR. That result applies to the analyzed Series X mode; it is not a requirement for Series S, whose reported target is 60 FPS.

What “all consoles” means here
The console targets discussed here cover Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS5, and PS5 Pro. They should not be read as a claim about older console generations. EA publishes targets; post-launch performance observations depend on the scenes and game version analyzed.
