It was open to anyone without a code on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The weekend added the Empire State map, Rush, and Squad Deathmatch.
When did Battlefield 6 Weekend 2 start and end?
Electronic Arts scheduled Weekend 2 to open August 14, 2025, at 08:00 UTC and close August 18, 2025, at 08:00 UTC. The beta event is over, so these dates are historical, not a current opportunity to join. See EA’s official beta schedule.
How could players access the beta?
During Weekend 2, EA required no code and made access available to anyone on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store, or the EA app. Players needed to link their EA Account with their platform account. Those instructions applied to the 2025 beta and do not provide access now.
For context, EA said preloading began August 4, 2025, at 15:00 UTC. Early Access began August 7 at 08:00 UTC for eligible players: people who had signed up for Battlefield Labs before July 31 could use the EA Account registered with Labs, while others could gain Early Access by watching select creators during the July 31 reveal streams. Weekend 1 ran August 9–11, opening and closing at 08:00 UTC. These earlier windows have also passed.

What map and modes were new in Weekend 2?
Empire State
Empire State was the new map for Weekend 2: an infantry-only Brooklyn setting with fighting through alleys, rooftops, and city streets. The three Weekend 1 maps—Siege of Cairo, Liberation Peak, and Iberian Offensive—returned.
Rush and Squad Deathmatch
- Rush: Attackers try to arm explosives at a sequence of M-COM communication systems while defenders attempt to defuse them. Destroying the systems in a sector advances the battle. The match ends when all M-COM systems are destroyed or attackers run out of lives.
- Squad Deathmatch: Four squads fight in close quarters; the first squad to reach the kill target wins.
Returning modes
Weekend 1’s modes were also available: Conquest, Closed Weapons Breakthrough, Breakthrough, Domination, and King of the Hill. Conquest has teams contest multiple objectives, with control draining the opposing team’s lives. Breakthrough moves through sequential sectors with attackers and defenders. Domination is about capturing and holding several points; King of the Hill focuses on one point. EA’s Weekend 2 guide covers the event’s maps, modes, and challenges.

- Capture 42 flags in Conquest, Domination, or King of the Hill to earn the War Machine Vehicle Skin.
- Get 200 kills or assists to earn the Bat Company Dog Tag.
- Capture 10 sectors in Breakthrough or Rush to earn the Dominion Weapon Package.
These were beta rewards tied to the 2025 event; EA’s guide does not establish that they can still be earned.

Can you play Battlefield 6 now?
The beta is no longer available. EA announced that the full game launched on October 10, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game’s launch does not reopen the beta or grant access to its ended challenges. Check EA’s launch announcement for the confirmed platforms and date.
If you want to play after the beta, choose a current full-game listing for your platform. On PC, EA listed Steam, the EA app, and Epic Games Store as storefronts for beta access; the sources here do not compare current full-game editions, prices, or store terms.
