No. Activision says the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare campaign is designed for one player only, so you can’t complete its story with a friend. The game does have co-op in its separate Zombies mode.
Can you play the campaign with a friend?
No. Activision’s Campaign FAQ, displayed as updated on November 21, 2019, answers whether the story can be completed cooperatively with “No,” and states: “The Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Campaign is designed for single player only.” That means there is no campaign co-op or campaign split-screen.

What co-op does Infinite Warfare offer?
Co-op is available in Zombies, a mode separate from the story campaign. Activision’s Zombies FAQ says Zombie Co-op supports up to four players in public or private online games, or over a LAN connection.
Zombies split-screen
Zombies supports up to two split-screen players on one console, in Online or Local Play. Activision also identifies online two-player split-screen as available in Multiplayer or Zombies—not in Campaign.

Activision’s Infinite Warfare game page lists Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies as separate modes and describes Zombies as cooperative. So if you’re looking to play with a friend, choose Zombies or Multiplayer; buying or launching the game does not make the campaign playable in co-op.
