Yes. Dead Space has zombie-like enemies, but the games call them Necromorphs. They are reanimated, grotesquely deformed former humans—not ordinary zombies.

They are called Necromorphs. EA describes the Ishimura, the setting of the 2008 game and its remake, as infested with reanimated, grotesquely deformed former humans. EA’s Dead Space page uses Necromorph for the hostile creatures.

Are Necromorphs zombies?
“Zombie” is a reasonable shorthand: Necromorphs are reanimated human remains. But it is not the franchise’s precise term. Xbox’s listing for the original game calls them “zombie-alien hybrids,” while EA’s descriptions call them Necromorphs. Why do they feel different from traditional zombies?
Their horror comes partly from how their bodies are distorted. EA Technical Animation Director Nate Burnett described them as “mangled rearrangements of human anatomy” with a “strangely grounded quality.” That helps explain why they can read as zombie-like while still looking and behaving like a distinct kind of monster. Does this apply to the remake as well as the original?
Yes. The original Dead Space was released in 2008, and the remake retains the franchise’s Necromorph terminology. EA says the remake was released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. EA’s Dead Space page
