Some players have reported Razer Chroma lighting reacting to Diablo IV, but the available evidence does not establish current, universal support or guarantee that Synapse will recognize the game on every setup. Razer’s often-cited announcement naming “Diablo” dates to 2018 and refers to the franchise, not specifically to Diablo IV.
What Razer’s Diablo announcement does—and doesn’t—confirm
In a June 5, 2018 announcement, Razer described Chroma as a lighting platform with “over a hundred natively integrated games” and listed “Diablo” among them. That is a historical, franchise-level statement. It predates Diablo IV and does not confirm that the game has an official Chroma integration today.
Razer’s developer portal explains that Chroma can support game integrations and standalone applications as part of a connected-device ecosystem. That general platform information does not establish compatibility between a particular Diablo IV release, Synapse version, and Razer device.
What Diablo IV players have reported
Players in Razer Insider discussions have described lighting effects associated with Diablo IV, including effects that changed room lighting, as well as problems with Synapse recognizing or controlling the game. The reports show that some users encountered or attempted game-responsive behavior; they are not an official compatibility list or a guarantee that the same effects will work for everyone.

These community threads do not provide a reliable, current matrix of supported devices, software versions, or game effects. A Razer Chroma RGB keyboard may be part of an RGB setup, but the evidence does not establish it as a requirement or a fix for Diablo IV recognition problems.
What to check if Synapse does not recognize Diablo IV
The reports document recognition and configuration issues, but there is no verified current official troubleshooting sequence in the sources cited here. Avoid assuming that a particular menu path, reinstall, or device change will solve the problem. Check Razer’s current support information for your Synapse release and device, and compare it with the details in the community threads before changing configuration.

Blizzard’s June 10, 2026 Diablo IV patch notes include the phrase “Chroma tic Aberration” in a graphics-related bug fix. It refers to chromatic aberration, a visual effect—not Razer Chroma RGB—and is not evidence of a Razer partnership or lighting integration.
