No. ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN did not offer a paid early-access period before launch. The pre-release opportunity was a limited Closed Network Test in February 2025, with registration for a chance to participate—not guaranteed access from buying a particular edition.
What was the Closed Network Test?
Bandai Namco announced the Closed Network Test on January 10, 2025. It ran from February 14 through February 17, 2025, and players could register for a chance to take part. The publisher described it as a test, not an early-access purchase tier. Bandai Namco’s announcement said it was available only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
| # | Preview | Product | Price | |

That distinction matters: a limited test with selected participants is different from paying for an edition that lets every buyer play the full game before its public release. Buying an edition was not presented as a way to join the test.
When did the full game release?
ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN launched on May 30, 2025, for consoles and PC via Steam, according to Bandai Namco’s April 23, 2025 announcement. The publisher’s official game page currently lists the game as “Available Now.”
